Has anyone tried this (new?) site? It is US friendly and they have a NDB but I haven't heard anything about them.

my experience with new sites is they usually have scarily small player pools which makes the games very dull, I tried some new site called Bounty Poker for the kicks of it cause they offered free $9 bucks and you could then withdraw if you made it to the higher status in 60 days, I ran that up to maybe $24 at its peak but it go so dull playing with 20 people max and only 3 tables running and with glitches and bugs all over the place, eventually I decided to put my whole bankroll on the line and donk my money away because I did not care to play on this site any longer, That's my opinion on new sites they are rarely good enough to start up anyways, If your site has only 20 players online it's kind of shady and what is the point really?

You are right. I was tempted to try it bc they offer a free $10 No Deposit Bonus but it might not even be worth the time.

I just joined this room a couple days ago. You're given ten free dollars to play with and the competition is very very weak. That's the good news. But the interface is quirky. I've never seen anything like it. In a showdown, no one's hole cards are exposed til all the board cards have been dealt. And if you lose the showdown, you can't even see what beat you because you are immediately...and I mean immediately...whisked away from the table.

Following up on my critique of Poker Rebel. Support thanked me for letting them know about their software glitches and added $5 to my account as a way of thanking me. They say they have corrected the problems. I haven't been able to confirm the corrections because I generally play there in the late afternoon when there are sufficient players for the $100 Guaranteed tournament and haven't yet played since receiving their email this morning. But they seem like a decent lot trying to do their best.

I just signed up to see what the place is like. $10 bucks to play with is cool. If I don't like it and decide not to play there I can just donk it off and no harm no foul. At least there were not a whole bunch of hoops to jump through to get the freebie. We'll see how it goes, and post my thoughts then.

You would think with all these free 10 dollars there would be more than 1 person at 1 table. There isnt anyone to play against

my thoughts as well, for bounty poker when I got my free 9 bucks, there was still like no traffic and at most 3 tables running! I guess people don't even want the 9 bucks cause it's not worth the hassle you have to go through to be able to withdraw that on a new site with not traffic and other issues

There is a 66X playthrough on the 10 bucks, unless you make a deposit. Max. cashout is $100 on the $10 free.

There's not great variety, but the hourly $25 Guaranteed with a 25 cent buy-in is not bad for building a little bankroll. And later in the day, the $100 Guarantee tourneys with a $5.50 buy-in are pretty good. I ran my ten free dollars up to $116 fairly quickly in tournaments. But there are a lot of very aggravating features. Their "hand histories" don't show the cards that were played, only the amounts that were bet...and the winning hand. If you are wiped out in a particular hand, you are whisked away so quickly your head will spin and then you have to race back to see if you can glimpse the cards that beat you before they disappear. In a showdown, no one's cards are revealed until AFTER all the board cards have been dealt. And, again, if you lost you are whisked away wondering what the hell happened. I told them about all these problems a few days ago and they thanked me by putting five bucks into my account. But I don't see any fixes; the problems remain. Earlier today, there was another glitch; in the hourly $25 tourneys, the table would go blank two or three minutes after the game began. If you stuck around several MINUTES, the tournament would resume. This problem went on for several hours. I think that glitch has at least been fixed. Each time I log in, I see there are more players than the day before. Competition is getting stiffer, too.

I read smome reviews about this site, they were like: a lot bugs in the App, small traffic and bad tech support.
So, I decided not to play there.

Every time I think they may have straightened this place out, the bottom falls out again. There's been an influx of players to Rebel Poker lately, but I'm thinking they won't stick around. This place's BUGS have got bugs! I was just sitting at the $100 Guarantee having folded. Next this I knew, I was knocked out, finishing in 10th place! I wasn't even in the damned hand! This is the last post I'll make about Rebel Poker. Stay away from this hopeless place.

Update on Poker Rebel Cashout

Happy to report that Poker Rebel autodeposited my cashout into my bank account two days ago. This was a little less than a month after I made the cashout request. There are still some bugs in their software, but there have been quite a few fixes, too. The interface is much improved from what it had been only four weeks ago. They do appear to be making serious efforts to improve the place AND to pay out in a timely manner.

Whaddya mean, "it's all lies"? I reported my experience factually. While my $100 payment came a little later than I'd expected, I was paid (by electronic transfer) less than a month after I initiated the cashout. The interface has improved greatly in the 2 1/2 months since I began playing at PR. And while there's still an occasional bug to be found, they've been very good about reimbursing my buy-in in a timely manner when I've pointed them out. All I can do is accurately report my own personal experience with Poker Rebel. I've initiated two more cashouts in the past three weeks...and if they stiff me, I will be sure to report that, as well. But for now, I'm giving them a thumbs up.

I have temporarily taken over this user in order to attempt to provide some light. My name is Cole Gibson, I am the General Manager for PokerRebel and the guy behind all the difficult decisions that have had to be taken in the past several months.

First things first. I want to apologize to all those who have been affected by these decisions and I hope I can provide answers that will, if not provide a solution to your problems, at least give an idea of the hows and whys of the events.

To those of you still waiting on cashouts, I'm sorry it has turned out to be such a long wait. Unfortunately, being a startup has prevented us from obtaining reliable accounts from which to make these payments. I would like to say that the money that is owed to you was sent out to one of our service providers and "lost" when the account was shut down. Meaning we are out this money. With this I am not saying we will not take responsibility for this money, we have every intention of doing this, when we can find a responsible processor to make sure this will not happen again. This is turning out to be more difficult as time passes and processors become more scarce. We will keep you posted from now on as to any developments that may arise in this matter.

I am going to address why the decision to move to a membership poker site and what events affected the making of these decisions.

Obviously the payout debacle had much to do with it. But if you take a snapshot of the industry as a whole, you would see that sites accepting US players do not seem to have a bright future, in our opinion at least. We do not want to end up in the same boat. The difficulty and risk of having processors handle large amounts of money, along with risks involved, make it very difficult for a new entry in the market to make any head way. And as can be seen by the events of the past few months, much more difficult for a new startup in the field.

Why membership? It seemed like a natural road to follow, and after a thorough study of the types of gaming in the free and membership poker models, we found that we could very well provide a poker game, along with the essence of a role playing game that would be interesting and fun for everyone. Of course, we don't know what levels of success we'll have in the future, we know we are providing a better product than other membership sites, and a better experience in the game with our role playing armies, than any poker site out there yet. What I can say is that we have every intention of making good on our existing debts to our players. Which is one reason why we have made the offer to exchange old balances for months of membership, and changed our offer in order to make it worthwhile for those who have long suffered our inability to find a way to get you paid.

And finally, I'd like to thank all those who have taken the time to critique, like, play, yes, even those who have bombasted us. Everyone is right. We have made mistakes and have been victimized by our noobie status. But I like to think we are gluttons for punishment and the only test of our character is going to be how we manage ourselves in the near future. The one thing that will never be said of us is that we are going to give up and disappear, we will find our place among the poker world, and I invite you to come along with us, we still have much fun to find.

PS: We have made no mention of prizes being awarded in our tournaments because we want to make sure we do not fall under any sweepstakes laws which would limit our reach. Our attorneys are studying ways where we can give out cash and prizes and still not fall under the sweepstakes laws. If you guys have any suggestions, questions, I will be watching this post for the next couple days and answering them.

Is that new site full flush poker? Is that the one that offers the no deposit bonus? I have heard of the site but have never tried it. I play on bovada. There are alot of bad beats as in the small stacks constantly double up on per flop all ins with crap so watch out for that if you go to that site.

Hi Cole,

I see a few players at the Poker Rebel site have finally attained the coveted 'General' status. Congratulations to those eleven, especially to the General at the top of the ladder who has donated a year of life on this Earth in order to achieve the honor of possibly redeeming his/her points for an official Poker Rebel tee shirt.

At last, immortality is within reach.
