As you may know by my newest introduction. I just started getting online again. One poker site banned me from playing due me not playing! I even have $ their. ugh I don't think that is right or far. So I talked to their live support & emailed them. Live support told me that I was banned but it didn't say why. So I waited for a email of any kind from them. Finally I got a email telling me that my account is back active. But no information on why I was banned!!! Does anyone think this is right or fair?

So I started playing again. Played a real $ tourney & I came in 3rd. :) wooohooo :D

I've never heard of a poker room banning someone for inactivity. In fact, most poker rooms do the exact opposite and give users who have not been active for a while a free tournament ticket, or $5 in their account to get them 'hooked' again.

If that's indeed the case, then no, I don't think that's fair or right. It was probably just a mistake which is why they activated your account so that you could play again.

Can you tell me which poker site banned you for not playing? That is insane, how on earth they banned member who have cash at their account for not playing at a period of times? Not right at all.

I'd guess that maybe your account was closed do to inactivity, rather than banned. But yeah, that's weird. I don't know why a site would do that.

If I might ask, which site was it? I haven't played anywhere for quite a while and all my accounts are still active that I've found. Didn't leave any money in any of them though...

Wish I would have, lol.

I'm sure 888 were putting charging inactive players a year or two ago. Read about it on 2+2 - pretty out of line imo.

Especially (as bgaricc pointed out) considering sites like Party are chucking money into player reactivation.

I hate Party and will still get emails about another $5 that's been put into my account.

So no... this wasn't fair.
