I'm thinking about getting a new 3G ipad so that I can play poker when I'm not at home but i'm not sure if its worth the price tag (obviously will use for stuff other than poker aswell)
Could anyone who has one tell me
1) if poker is any good on IPAD ? (Speed? number of tables you can play?)
2) can you download a HUD onto the IPAD

Thanks

I know I've been out of touch with the online game for a while, but is there even real money poker available for the iPad?

blasphemous

what does this mean????

Egads is another way of saying "ye gods", used like a non blasphemous exclamation.

pokerstars also have phone Apps with real money, probably others as well. Have not tried it myself, it just do not appeal to me.

You don't mention whether you're a US player or not. If so, there are no native iPad apps available to you.

One approach some use is to use remote desktop software to control their desktop from their tablet. It sucks for anything more than one or two tables, but if that's all the fix you need and your have reliable 3/4G or wifi connection then it's doable.

pokerstars mobile is available for real money play on iPAD in most countries - you can play up to 5 tables (4 on your phone), including ZOOM. In my biased opinion, it works very well!

Cheers,

Hi Dylan,

Is there any chance of the PS app being modified to fit on to a Samsung Galaxy Ace, the screen resolution is too small.

Thanks

I wouldn't play on an Ipad. What if you get tilted and throw it against a wall XD

Thanks, Can you get a HUD on the Ipad?

This is something you'd have to take up with the HUD providers like Hold'Em Manager and PokerTracker.

Regarding the Samsung Galaxy Ace resolution, I've passed that feedback along to the Mobile team for review.

Thanks,

Dylan

I've been trying the Pokerstars mobile app on my iPad. It seems pretty slick and very functional. I really like it, but can't use it because it loses connection every minute or two, regardless of how close/far I am from the router. I contacted Pokerstars support, but they basically said that the internet was an unreliable medium, especially when connecting over WiFi. I am able to get it to work perfectly on my iPod, but I find the screen too small (when entering bets/raises).

So I am removing it from both devices and will stick to a hardwired computer.

i wouldn't play too high of stakes on any mobile app cause it's less reliable, can't take notes, harder to observe people, a lot less statistics, it's basically a disadvantage i feel, i would only play very low stakes cash to where i can just sit back play my best, i play on my iphone sometimes if im out my house and there is wifi available, but like i said i would not recommend it for playing like you usually do at home on laptop/pc

My understanding of him is largely based on Google Translate. It ain't 100% but it's enough to get the point across. And it was pretty stupid for him to post something like that.

I sometimes play poker stars real money games on my iphone. You can play up to 4 games at once but i dislike doing that. I usually try to stick to 2 max. I think ipad is just a bigger and better version of the iphone so i would def do it if i were you. Also the app also drains my phone battery really fast so that kind of sucks.
