Poker for a 20yo

Hey guys.

I am a college student looking to make some money while in college. The thing is im 20yo so although I live in NJ there is no way for me to play online/live right now. Honestly, the way I look at it is if im allowed to go to war I should be able to gamble.

Are there any rooms that allow 20yo?

Bovada says they requires all users to be 18 years of age or older, or of legal age to gamble in their jurisdiction, whichever is older. But does that mean in canada or Us, since they are a Canadian company.

Any help would be great, thanks!

If you haven't made an account to an unregulated site before all sites would not allow for new players from those states, you out of luck.

party poker is 21?

I thought it was 18. When do you turn 21? Just wait a few months and play if thats what you have to do. You are lucky though. I wish I lived in a regulated state!

NJ players cannot play on Pokerstars (or anywhere in the US right now if I am not misinformed.)
As for Bovada - I literally just got off the phone with them ( I am a NJ resident also) They are allowing current account holders to play the funds they have, withdraw the funds they have, and due to regulatory issue no Deposit options are currently available.
Sorry young man, just study up and get ready to get your feet wet when you are 21, or you can try to build a bankroll of Play Money. It will show you just how difficult it is to do, and give you a taste of how variable in poker can make for obstacles, even when you have done everything correctly.

If you want to get a roll going in states that will not let you deposit, have a friend open an account out of state, and get the referral bonus. You will land 100 into your account, or do it with multiple people for more $. And you always could just dump funds playing HU to get a deposit as well after you get the first 100. Just food for thought!

If studied more when had time about outs, positions and strategies I would save at least 200 dollars.. so use that time wisely and dont repeat my mistakes :) And in my country we are adult when we reach age 18, sex is allowed since 14 :)
