Playing two accounts from same IP on FT

So I have had a FT account for a while, but just recently made my first deposit. My wife has decided she would like to learn how to play and I can think of no other place better than FT to learn how to play because of their resources (Academy, play money, etc), so she created an account last night.

I thought I had heard about a guy getting banned from that site because the TOS states you can only have one account. Am I at risk of getting banned too because their servers will show two accounts coming from the same IP? I have to think other standards have to be in place in order to ban somebody for this reason but I'm just wondering if anyone has any input on this. Thanks

Me and my wife both have accounts at FTP and have had no problems...so far. We do make sure that we're never on at the same time just to avoid any hassels.

No, its fine, as long as you each have your own info in your profiles, and play only on your own account.
Many of us have a couple accounts in the house that belong to two diff. ppl.
You can be on at the same time and even in same mtt tourneys. Just make sure you play her as you would any other opponent.

Same goes for pokerstars except you can't play in the same cash games or tourneys.

Also, it never hurts to send them an email. I've done this with Crystal on several sites and they don't seem to mind.

I would definitely send them an email explaining the situation so you don't need to deal with any confusion (i.e. confiscated funds) later on. If they have a note associated with your IDs now, you shouldn't ever need to give this a second thought.

+1, that was my first thought. As long as you tell them first... I wouldnt try playing the same cash tables though, its nearly impossible not to collude doing that.

I can't see how you could ever have any trouble from FT. Two different people playing two different games, no issue, and, should be no problem.

yep..its better to beat them to the punch with all this...DL scan, power bill scan, and cc u are using are usually what they ask for, and by asking for, i mean they lock ur account from logging in and u have to send it all to them anyways..just do it so u dont have any trouble down the road..:)

i've send emails about this to both fulltilt and pokerstars. both emails got a response, saying that they already have programs to stop us from cheating, like joining the same cash table or the same sng, as far as MTT goes you can both join but i doubt they will put you at the same table unless you both make it to the final table.

just to be sure, do what i did was send an email to them, see what they have to say.
