Hey guys just thinking of getting a tablet and getting away from my laptop ,and since I travel quite a bit was gonna use the tablet to play poker instead of lugging my laptop all around the country with me.
Anyone know if you can play online poker on a tablet , i generally play at bovada.

yes you can my friend :) im using a mobile for poker wherever i can, but software for tablets are the same. My suggestion would be Asus Google Nexus 7', 3G/4G, so you can use a mobile internet :)..It has a super strong processor, i think it's a 1,2Ghz Quad core. You can find it on ebay for less than 200$, brand new which is a real giveway for that piece of art ;) I hope i helped :)

It's kinda risky since there is always a chance you won't be able to charge the tablet up and will lose the tourney by being blind-eaten.

You cant play tournaments and sng on FTP, and that is very very sad :(
Eh, who wants to play adrenaline rush instead of MTTs...

Bovada on a Tablet?

Hey guys!

Finally getting back into the game (I had to take a break for numerous reasons). Long story short, I am thinking about buying a tablet for the mobility of it and was wondering if you can play poker on a tablet and if so, what kind of tablet would support it?

Thanks in advance!

They have ZOOM and thats used on the browser, no App to DL. So you will have ZOOM cash games only.

You can't play tourneys or regular cash games on it (there is no app)

However

If you download LogMeIn or another program that uses remote access, you can play from your tablet. I have it on my phone and use it for other reasons and what not. I used it at my G/fs house on an ipad and it worked great. Just make sure you have a good wifi connection.

I will try that on my phone first! Its mostly for when I'm waiting a few hours inbetween classes so I'll see if this works and post back :D

When you pay for logmein you can install it on your tablet or phone or whatever, itll still work.

So yes, it will work on a tablet.

Microsoft has a remote desktop app for connecting from IOS to Windows. I tried it, but couldn't connect even though the remote settings and firewall appeared to be set properly on my laptop.

I tried the free version of RealVNC and it works well enough, although a bit of a resource hog (maybe that's standard?). The free version does not include encryption, but you can upgrade for $30.

First you must know if you have android or ios or something else. Because some pokerrooms have only mobile versions for IOS (like Fulltilt in the beginning). I know that 888poker for example has a very good mobile version.

But the most poker rooms don´t have a mobile versions. I hope that that will change.

I think someone already mentioned the Merge Network but I just want to add that Carbon Poker's mobile app works pretty well on my android phone and my buddy's ipad.

Thanks,
Alec

I play on a tablet too from time to time and it's very handy. Stars definitely has the best software of all the online rooms. But what I inevitably ended up doing was I installed TeamViewer on my desktop and I login to my desktop off my tablet when I want to play on Carbon or FTP. (Full disclosure, I'm in canada so it's on the up and up).

I honestly think the software has a long way to go yet before it's REALLY good on mobile devices (just my opinion) but you know they're trying to improve the product for the end user.

I mainly play on my phone because I can play on pokerstars and they got it all on mobile.

mtts SnG zoom and ring.

But since you are from the US it is a bit complicated.

Try out what those others got on mobile and hope for a soon coming reopening for US players at Pokerstars.

I am very satisfied playing on mobile.
