do they have any restrictions on how many different IP addresses you can play on? or what about internet cafe's are those ok? I just play from home for now but I'm curious if I were to hop on my tablet at the coast and then win a big cash game and try to cash out would I have any problems because I wasn't playing on my original IP address? I play BC Poker and occasionally ACR.

No restrictions on any site AFAIK. You just have to log in. I don't believe it'd let you play on multiple IP addresses at the same time, because that'd mean most likely you have away your account into and someone else is playing on your behalf, which isn't allowed.

I see no reason why sites wouldn't allow play from Internet cafés but it probably wouldn't be a good idea on the player's end. Internet cafés can have shoddy and unreliable connections, and they're insecure sonnectoons meaning your account and banking info are more susceptible to theft.

Sites don't care about your IP address with regards to cashing out. Your account is your account, wherever you are. Look at the pros - they play from all around the globe.

I often start a game on one PC, then change to another PC. Both in the same house, both with the same router address but different PC AP addresses.

Once mobile computing came along, they have to figure out ways to accommodate the guy playing on his way home, then transferring to his main system.

You will not be able to be logged into a client from both devices at the same time.

Also don't try playing 2 versions of the same tourney from BCP and ACR at the same time. They will catch that.

Ok well that about answers what I was asking

And I do realize that playing on two different IP addresses at the same time

with my account would be cheating lol but I guess it doesn't hurt to keep

viewers informed. Like I said if I take a trip to our beach house and I win

any sort of tourney and try to withdrawal from a different IP then my

original if I Would have any trouble and from what you tell me I shouldn't.

THANKS for the solid answers!

Don't know how this all works technically with IP-adresses, but I know of people playing in the same place.
There's pictures or a video showing Elky and Eugene Katchalov, sitting opposite to eachother playing SCOOP or WCOOP.
I know people who are married both playing in the same house.
Guess it's all fine, as long as both don't play the same games.

You think Katie and Collin playing in shifts ?

The IP address includes the device you type at, any router (wireless WiFim cellular), the modem, and your ISP. So you can see that 3/4 of it pinpoints your house.

This makes it relatively easy to see how many devices (phone.tablet, PC, etc) are accessing anything from your house.

Your account has at least that IP address include in it's historic record. But it might (probably does) also include all the IP addresses that your device has ever accessed the site from (internet cafe's, cell towers, w/e). But your account does not = the IP address.

Your account can only be logged in from anywhere once per session. Sessions starts with a login, and ends with a logout. So changing devices is good if you shut down the App (effectively logging out) before logging in on the other device.

With modern programming there should be no reason that you couldn't start a game on one device, play some, log out, then go on the move while playing on a mobile device. Or vica versa.

What you CAN NOT do is be logged on to an account more than once at a time.

There is currently a caveat to this tho. You can be logged in to both your ACR, BCP, and maybe even True poker accounts on different devices at the same time. These are all skins on the WPN network, and something they (WPN) probably want to fix.

The CC Leaderboard will catch these double dipping incidents, and will cause you some grief. Like a suspension from the PW thread for 30 days, and a black blob on your record. (A black blob is the opposite of a Gold Star). Also, the LB will deny you credit for the points during that game.
