Hello all!

New to the forums, and excited about my first post!
I see a lot of people asking about playing on the same site with maybe a roommate or family member with the same IP.
Just to be safe, I wanted to know if I were to play at a friends house who also plays on the same site (888poker), will they consider that colluding or shady in any way since there has been 2 different account activity on the same IP address?
This would obviously be OK, common sense tells me, as long as we don't play at the same time, or even more so at the same tourney or table. But I want to make sure.
I've heard horror stories of 888 shutting down accounts and taking away money inside for things that seem unreasonable.
Wondering if I should play it safe and not play online when I'm over at his house.

Hello!! It is best you send a message to the staff of the Program .. In the pokerstars, I received the information that tournament with 360 players or more have no problem playing the same ip because the chance falling into the same table is relatively difficult.

If it were me, I wouldn't even risk it...I've heard too many horror stories of accounts being shut down, etc. I would say be thankful you can even play on sites like 888, stars, and fulltilt...and don't do anything that could remotely jeopardize it. If you clear it with their support ahead of time, and don't play in any of the same games, I'm sure you'll have no problems, but this guy above me saying its fine playing in tourneys from the same IP that have 360 players or more...i don't agree, simple fact is if you do end up at the same table...and one of you does hit for a big amount, I wouldn't put it past any of these sites to flag you or hold money, even if they don't suspect you did anything blatantly wrong, for the simple fact they could have an excuse to not dish money out and help their bottom line.

I know of husbands and wives that play on the same sites and even in some of the same tourneys the poker sites know the trends of when it is fishy and when it is not by the history so if you are really just 2 individule accounts playing from the same IP it is ok

I think the easiest way to make friends who know the poker is trying to meet in the home of a friend to learn and know more about the sport that is still raging around the world, because besides sport lets you create you as a solid company when playing live or online.
