Does anyone have experience unregistering from a tournament that they freeroll'd into at Players Only?

I freerolled into a satellite for a tournament then got a ticket to the tournament itself by being one of the remaining x number of people left in the satellite. It's a 250K guarantee with an entree fee of $250+18 which is waaaayyy beyond my bankroll so if i get a refund for unregistering, that would be golden (even if I lose like 10%...). If anyone has experience with this, if they could tell me how it works, that would be great. Thanks!

Yeah, the best bet is to contact their support. Every site is different. Some will let you unregister and use the T$ for other games. Some will not. Even within a site, there are some satellites that they'll let you unregister for and use the T$/ticket at a later date, and some satellites where you have to use the ticket.

i have not played there but if you have an unregister button available then you can unreg for full price...if you were issued a ticket i do not believe once you spend it that you can refund the entry

If they give you automatic entry into a satellite like absolute then you can win the satellite multiple times and your account gets credited the $

There is an unregister button but I am afraid to press it :p It's not really a ticket. When you win the satellite, you automatically get registered into the actual tournament.

Hmmm, indeed asking customer support seems like the best way to go. Thank you for all your responses!

So for a quick follow up:

They told me I do not get cash for unregistering but that they would provide me with a 'tournament ticket' that I could use for future tournaments. They put in the disclaimer that I should 'contact them if it doesn't show up' so I would be very careful with this. I will add that their online chat was fast (10 seconds waiting time) and they were very helpful.

All in all, this means that I'll be playing for a $250+18 buy in tournament... Wow, I never thought I would be doing this less than 2 months from starting to play online poker and less than 2 weeks from signing up for Players Only.

I've seen some bad online rep about Players Only withdrawals so it may not even matter but at the very least I get the thrill!! Wish me luck!

This is for Players Only. In Full Tilt, you generally get something called tournament dollars back if you satellite in and then unregister. If you win Full Tilt Points, they will be credited to your FTP total.

Oh and in the actual $250K, I played horrible horrible poker because I was multi tabling and was out about half way despite near doubling up early from a turned full house. From now on, I'm going to unregister from these things and wait for another day if two important tournaments overlap...

Obviously you haven't seen WurlyQ play poker :p

Haha, thanks. I don't consider myself much better than average but I don't consider myself complete fish either.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people thought I was complete fish though because I make some very very unconventional plays that I think work but I'm sure others would disagree. I do like when I flip over 5Jo when I shove on a short stack, then I get a call when I have the nuts a few hands later from a much larger stack :)
