Players Only Switching Networks

If any of you folks play on Players Only and like the Cake network, please e-mail them and voice your opinions. Players Only plans to switch to the Merge network in April. I think this is a terrible decision. The traffic on the Merge network is lower and their software sucks.

I agree. Hopefully, they change their mind.

If they switch to merge will it then allow US players?

PlayersOnly does accept US players. Cardschat had a $1000 first depositor freeroll some time ago that I took first in. Or were u referring to the Merge Network.. Meh iam confused

No for some reason I thought players only didn't take US players, I must have them confused with another site.

it does accept US players, a bunch of my friends play on it

i was thinking about putting a couple hundred on because my friends said it was a solid sight, not much traffic but a good setup.

ive been getting tired of Tilt and PS and both my bonuses are up so if they are merging this might affect my decision

Nice signature.. Made me lol.. I dont know why but millions are working and Iam not and yet I cant have welfare.. Can someone please tell me why?

At one time Players Only was limited strictly to U.S. players. Only site I know of that did that.

Oh I think I had it mixed up with party poker... I think, lol

Sportsbook.com are also moving to the merge network (sister site to PlayersOnly). This is an interesting move, and it should make merge a much much larger network, while sinking Cake network player numbers dramatically. Sportsbook & Playersonly draw in a huge number of fish and liquidity, so it is definitely a huge boost to all merge sites.

I wonder if they will still run a sportsbook? I don't think any Merge sites do.

There are several skins on Merge right now that have sportsbook - but of course none have the traffic of sportsbook.com

This is going to have quite an effect upon the Cake network, losing that much liquidity. Even with adding skins it will be difficult for them to compensate for the loss

io garee traffic is low but i prefer the software on merge

i like the players only software/ traffic right now

i like the generally low traffic because everyone knows one another and the tournaments are relatively easier to place.

I'm hoping to login one day between now and April and learn that they backed out of this deal and decided to stay with Cake.

Most of the regs I've chatted with at micro limits have said they would switch sites to stay on the Cake network. A few have said they will follow PO and SB to Merge. I'm sure all of the sports betting players will stick with them and that's gonna hurt the games at Cake. I guess I'll be moving to Doyle's, Cake, or Power Poker. I just can't play on the Merge network. Something in their software causes really bad freezing problems on my computer.

It is my understanding there will be a major upgrade on Merge before PlayersOnly/Sportsbook move

Hmm. That might help my freezing issues, but with the rakeback being based on contributing to pots to earn it, I think I would still move to another Cake skin.

These are the 2 networks I play on and i am thrilled at this news.This move should balance out these two sites and keep them small enough to see some players repeatedly yet still give a boost to merge which doesn't have quite enough micro ring games for me to play four tables every time I would like.
