To play on Stars or not?

I play on Full Tilt at the moment but have played mostly on Party over the last 2 years. I put 600 of my BR into Stars last year to get a deposit bonus but found the SnGs to be much tougher than Party. However, I didn't really give it enough time to adjust, only played around 25 games I think. Shortly after, I withdrew my BR and put it back in to Party where I could win comfortably.

Now, playing on FT I'm finding the game selection much better and am consistently winning but, I know Stars has a much larger player base.

Is it worth withdrawing and playing on Stars again? Is it fishy at the micro to low levels compared to FT for example?

I think players of full tilt and PS are on the same level. Most of them play in both rooms (like me).
You are right, Bwin and party has a bit weaker field cos many players come from the "betting, casino zone" and just play poker for fun. :)

Good player will win everywhere, so if you feel that you are really good - join PS. :)

Obvious reg level is way higher on Stars, so you just will have less of an advantage there in general.

I think pokerstars is only good for a deposit.
I have only played freerolls and can't win so far. Too many players at the tournements, too fast blind levels and experienced player make it almost impossible to win there.
I can't say if is still so difficult to win when you make a deposit. How are there the ring games and the Sit & Gos?
I myself play at full tilt poker. My experience is that you can win a freeroll or a satellite at Full Tilt Poker easier than at Pokerstars.

Thanks for all the advice. Think I'm going to stick with FT for the time being.

Do stars offer any HU ring games less than 50nl? Party and FT HU ring games start at 50. Know of any other sites that offer micro HU cash games?

I can say that it is going to be exactly the same as if you don't make a deposit, except that you will be able to play against players who have bankrolls.
Probably better players, but admittedly smaller fields.

I'm sure you weren't suggesting that it's rigged in favour of depositors, lol

OP If you are winning comfortably at Party, don't be too proud to just play there and take maximum advantage of it.

Nah it's not that, I cant stand some of their policies...the 2.50 fee every withdrawal, the fact that there are no deep stack tables, at least for SnGs (Cash as well I think) and the new changes to the software have made it impossible to multitable sngs as they dont allow you to join as many tables at once before they fill up anymore.

All in all, it's just a shitty client now :D

I don't think there is much differentiation regarding the skill level of the average player in FT vs Stars. Otherwise, it is just a matter of preference. I prefer stars because of the nice lobby, player-friendly options and ... well I've been playing on Stars much more than anywhere else, so I'm most likely biased.

PS offers a wide range of tournaments at any time both micro-limits such as hi-limits. The same for cash. It also offers the possibility of winning big prizes in their regular big tournaments. The deposits and withdrawals are instantaneous.

An option for you to consider rather than withdrawing on Ft and putting depositing on stars is to pair your Stars and Ft accounts then you can transfer money from one to the other with no trouble or fees at all.........scorp

Not sure if it's any help to you, but Stars seems to be the toughest site I played on. I win some then lose some and it goes on and on and on...... I've also experienced most of bad beats on PS. On the other side, you can't blame PS for this. It's just that the site has a lot of traffic and lot of players on different levels. As for numbers of tourneys, lobby, support etc etc PS is definitely worth a try. I'd agree with Scorp. You can try to send some of your money from FTP to Stars.

I play in both, PS and FTP.
In pokerstars play's more players than in Full Tilt, and I dont like it. I like better to play MTT with 100-200 players not with 500-1000.

Do you actually mean "instantaneous". Like literally, the money goes straight in to my account upon withdrawal? If that's the case, it's a majour factor in my choice ad I will have to rethink the move, but I've heard of no other site where that's the case...usually 3-5 working days?

Can anyone confirm this?

This is also a feature I was unaware of...this makes the idea way more attractive.

I make deposits and withdrawals from my neteller account and are snapshots. Not to say with a bank account.

In my opinion PS is comparable to FT. I've been playing on FT and PS for a while only to transfer full time to PS . Mainly because I've been having much more luck with PS showdown hands in early all-ins. I guess it's a matter of personal preference based on experience. I'd try both first and see what sticks better.
