Hey guys

My bankroll is in bad shape so Im working on rebuilding it while trying to improve my poker play in the process. I know that play money SNGs are a pretty bad donkfest, especially at the low 250s but I think Im starting to get a hang of multi-tabling and keeping my cool when bad beat (keeping cool is one huge problem I had).

Ive built my play money bankroll to 80,000 chips with register/unregister and building up 1,000 chips and multitabling the 250s 4 at a time. I was wondering when I should start moving up to 2,000 and beyond and when does the SNG play get good? I heard that at the higher limits, the SNG players are better than the real money $2 or $5 which are the levels I want to be able to crush at.

Also, are there any recommended private freerolls. Im planning on entering the playmoney 500,000 when I get there and maybe the facebook. Ive tried the US regional but that one has way too many people that you need to really run well to make money in. I cant sign for the cardschat since I didnt make my account through them although if I could join the club, I would love to since I heard CC's freerolls are frequent.

I know some people would just say deposit more but the problem is I need to get better. I've learned some of my leaks are I started playing loose too early in the past, overvalued pocket pairs (im still going out with AK, KK, and JJ but Ive sort of learned to fold them when an A comes on the board) and I think Im cbetting and donk betting better as well as really play with position. I want to work on hand reading but at the 250s, its near impossible (i often find myself giving my opponents way too much credit). If there any suggestions on improving my SNG play, that would be great as well.

I don't think many people here are into he play money thing, so your response may be limited. If anything stick with asking about freerolls and yes CC has a good one but go read the thread 1st. And for the record no one hardly takes play money serious unless you are playing with the big boys with Millions of dollars of play money chips, now they play like real money. GL

Yea those play money sngs at the 250 level aren't the same as playing poker i've had days where I would register for 10 250chip 18 player turbo games and make it to the top 3 in 8 of them by folding and shoving so not much to learn there except how to build a roll and multitable

The other day I happened to be on when a 250 chip 6max ko tournament was starting so I joined and after 2 hours got bored we where down to 15 out of 680 I was 4th in chips so I stopped playing only to later learn that I came in second for about 18k so these might be an option to work on your short handed game and build a roll

I pretty much only play poker in private freerolls these days but on the odd day I'll play a few playchip games because I really want to be a playchip millionaire(not sure why ) now that having been said I am/was doing the steps on tilt presently about step4=18 step5=5 and the 10k chip games will be noticeably different but with 80k I would say move up to the 2k games or start at step 2 and work you way up to step 4 and use those tickets to enter the 10k games....either way GL

Play money poker is a waste of time if you want to learn as the play is unrealistic... If I was getting started in poker and didn't want to deposit I would stick to freerolls as their is a monetary achievement that generates more realistic play...
