Hey guys,

I've been seeing a lot of discussions concerning this. Seems more and more peeps would be interested in playing on their iDevice. While Apps for each room don't exist (yet), there is a workaround.

I've download ignition's LogMeIn and installed it on my PC, (also for MAC), then I installed LogMeIn on my ipad and iphone.

Basically, it allows you to control your PC from your device. It runs really smooth and has never glitched out on me once. I just leave my PC running at home, and connect from my ipad/iphone as long as I'm on 3g or wifi. So check it out.

Logmein on the PC is free. The iDevice App runs about $99 if I'm not mistaken. But those who are jailbroken can find an alternate way I'm sure.:D

I thought about trying this but had concerns about security and data usage.

This is what I do whenever I have a league game to cover or have to log into a game at a certain time and I know I won't be home yet.

I have used Team Viewer for some time now and its Free for both devices.

I cannot speak to data usage. I imagine if I was paying/data, it would probably add up fast.

It's too bad you can't play real money games on the Ipad though that would be pretty neat :) Post an update if you try it and it works I'd like to know.

VNC/SSH

Been doing this for a while. I run Windoze in a VM on linux and use the Remoter app on my iPhone.
Tunnel VNC thru SSH and it is totally secure if SSH is setup correctly.
This method requires a bit of setup but seems much faster than Teamviewer
and my data is not going thru a server where I do not know if it is encrypted...

yeah i do the same with the ssl, but for people who have no clue what ssl, and vnc is trying to point them to a good easier software....plus the vnc software for iphone is high up their.

Idk, playing for money off of your phone just doesn't seem like a good idea to me...

How To Play Poker On Your iPad

Not sure if anyone has discussed this yet but I wanted to show everyone the simple and easy way that you can play poker on your iPad remotely by accessing your Windows desktop on the same home network and internet.

Keep in mind that multi-table players should not use this application since there is about a 2-3 second lag and using the slider bar functions and mouse are a bit slower than a normal computer. With that being said the application does work and it is very convenient when playing comfortably in your bed or on the couch.

Steps

First, you must go to the App store on your iPad and search for an application called PocketCloud. Install the app and open it.

The app will then ask you to log in using an existing Gmail account. Use your Gmail login and password. The app will then give you the URL of the website in which you must go to on your PC to download the software on your computer.

Here is the link: https://appservices.wyse.com/pages/serviceandsupport/support/dlOraFW.asp?which=106&model=Wyse%20PocketCloud%28Software%20Downloads%29

Download the software and follow the steps. Once you have the software on your computer you will log in to the online cloud using the Gmail account you used earlier. If you have the application open on your iPad it will automatically link to your desktop remotely.

Make sure that your computer is plugged in and that you do not have any settings to make your computer go to sleep after a certain amount of time of inactivity.

Enjoy!

Yep, use teamviewer too. I prefer it since it basically works on everything (windows, mac/ios, android,...)

Just picked up an android device and am using the " teamviewer " app which is free through the google play store... LOVE IT... only doun side is the lag time but other than that this most certainly takes care of the no android poker app.

there are apps to play directly on your iPad. SwitchPoker.com are browser based real money poker site you can play on your iPad iPhone or any mobile device. there is an app for android users, can get the play money version on the play store or the real money version on their site.

other pages have mobile versions, like rush poker. terminal poker is like rush and i think most other big sites are releasing mobile versions. Stars/tilt etc.

Ive played both Switch Poker and terminal poker on my iphone, Switch Poker is cash game only and terminal is like rush poker. I prefer switch as i'm not a fan of rush.

I havent tried the stars app yet, I hear its got a lot of functions but you still need to log in on your pc.

My laptop is on the way out, and since i only use it for poker im in 2 minds about buying a new one or getting a tablet instead. so hopefully more websites will release mobile versions in 2013.

Yeah, LogMeIn Ignition is good. It used to be my favourite, but now I prefer using RHUB remote support servers for its better security and it gives me everything in one setup.
