I am downloading the PKR operating software which is taking forever (ok, 20 minutes isn't forever but....) . Once I had it working it asked me to set up my avatar, ok, I wanted it to look like me, yeah I look like Brad Pitt.

Now the game selection area, what the he..ck?!? I just want to play a game of holdem sitr-n-go (can't play real money quite yet).

Bottom line, is this super intrusinve "real" world attempt at online poker worth screwing with; i.e. Plenty of fish in the low stakes stuff and good play when you expect it?

Thanks for any input, and if PKR is a big CC supporter disregard this note (pm me instead).

its very very soft, as PKR has a social aspect to it, it attracts many bad players, its a little bit slower than most poker rooms between hands, so that means less hands per hour, but the skill level more than makes up for it

I downloaded last year I think..and I have to say that no matter how easy players they have, I can't stand to play there. It's just too slow!!! I remember that I could not even open another poker room when I was playing on pkr, the idea it's nice, but only if you only wanna play poker for fun.

I like PKR in terms of the graphics etc but it seems to slow up my machine. I have got a decent spec laptop and do not have any problems with anything else but PKR just kills it. I think I will try the Lite version for the OFC games.

It's horrible really, yeah the soft field is great but only for tournament players. If you are into cash like me, its really not worth it. Half the players dont have a fold button installed (you would think that is a good thing right?). Rake is too high, takes something special to be able to win without rakeback over the 10% rake and the donks. A raise UTG means nothing at pkr, expect the whole table to call.

Eh, don't take what i said too hard, I'm tilting. Just decided to leave pkr in search of somewhere that respects regular players with a rakeback deal :)

I used to play PKR, and it tries to be an online site that mimics live play. (Silly IMO, but, hey)

I like the MTTs there. (some) Decent structure, and a small player pool, so you can play them in <3 hours a lot of the time. (Its been a while since I played there tho, so dont know if this is still true, but guess it is)

Cash is defo soft, but no HUD allowed (You can use it on a single table, but then you wouldnt need one anyway...lol)

All in all, for MTTs I like it, IDK what the higher stakes cash games are like, but if you play those stakes, might be good as well...??
