I think PKR is a non-American room as well, isnt it? I downloaded their (voluminous) software and when I did I wasn't allowed to open a real money account.

I MUST disagree. I am in Texas on a home wireless network and have never had a problem. I love the action of the players right down to flipping chips. Here is the first time i have heard slow. Ther is a play in low detail option if your system runs slow. No they do not accept real money from U.S. right now

I think PKR isn't the room for you.
They don't have good freerolls.
Also the action is very slow there.
I think you could better look at a site like Full Tilt/bodog.
They are faster and have better freerolls.

^^Repeated for the benefit of those who didn`t read it first time around. :p

PKR is the prettiest site out there. Whether that interests you or not is obviously a matter of personal preference. If it does not, fair enough.

It is, however, extremely silly to suggest that it "sucks" when anyone with a brain cell can see that it is highly sophisticated.

I love PKR and I guess would consider it my main online room. Regarding the negative feedback about it being slow...
It all has to do with your PC and Internet connection. The "better" and faster your PC/connection, the more accurately PKR will run. Admittedly though, the PKR software is voluminous, as Chip pointed out. But as I said, if your PC is, for the lack of a better term, good enough, you won't have any problems with running, playing, and enjoying the PKR experience.

They have also just introduced a new Beta Speed format, just over the past two days actually, and it has reduced literally ALL of the former lag, etc.

PKR, as some of you have mentioned before, is not the most popular room and is always getting mixed reviews. Some players love it, while others hate it. It's pretty much a coin toss either way.

Yes it isn't the most popular online poker room out there, but it's growing everyday and the new bonus/loyalty program for it's members is right up there, if not the best available.

But, as I stressed in my first reply, if your PC is unable to handle the PKR software, you'll most definitely not be able to either fully experience what it has to offer, or enjoy your gameplay whatsoever. And as Iori mentioned, it's not the kind of program that you can run with basically anything else at the same time. Obviously you can still leave your usual software running, MSN, e-mail, etc., but if you were to try and run another online poker room, your computer will slow to a crawl if not freeze.

I guess you could say you either like it or you don't. But for the individuals that do enjoy the PKR experience, they seem to like it a lot. ;)

PKR i was once a cash member i thought it sucked tooo many donks and all in every hand,, u cant play a real game there
too big a program all for the visual effects
they have limited freeroll room 700.. they have tried a larger quantity, and it crashed the program yep crashed it,, ,people still left in got the minor prize of a whopping 0.01cent yep massive!!!!!
i uninstalled the program so i have my 0.01 still sitting in my account,
i think u will find it is not as much of a popular game as some make out.
If u like all ins all the time, then that is the site for u.
If u like to play other games like stud, horse then its not for u,,, pkr only has omaha (limited games) and holdem.
Personally i like FT PS and UB

I love PKR. I think it runs smoothly and I've never had any problems with it running slow. I am an American citizen and PKR is the only site that I have in which I do not have a real money account because I think that the play and the graphics are that good. As far as the donks go just wait them out and then play poker.

i dislike PKR

purely because it is slow, i much prefer doylesroom and carbon poker.

although when i first signed up to doylesroom i played free games to get used to the software and the features and i am almost certain the 'play money' section is rigged.

not good, i would have made a more sizable deposit if this wasn't the case. Does anyone share this opinion?

thanks

PKR is too slow!
I don't like it, and the freerolls suck too:p
Like 10$ freeroll with 800 players.
