joined PKR last night and it's a pretty cool site. 3D graphics and it can be distracting... can have lots of stuff going on during poker play. the gameplay was pretty smooth. you can have your avatar do a whole bunch of things from verbal to physical stuff. took a bit to get used to but at the end of my sitngo (2nd place) i really like this site. at the beginning it's like a RPG where you are customizing your character from face, clothes, body build. after playing at PKR i gotta agree with review i'd read about it.

I've played on it before.. but only in the play money games. It doesn't allow US players to play in the real money games.. but I got on to play some poker with some friends on there who wanted me to join awhile back. I played on it for about a month.. I thought the avatars were pretty cool. I had a guy dressed up as a skeleton, face paint, and top hat, haha.

I am a US citizen, but I live in germany, so I play PKR, and I like it. The graphics are cool, even tho I dont rally care about that. I didnt sign up for rakeback and cant get it now, so if anyone is gonna sign up, that is a point to consider before hand. But you get poker points and can play in the freerolls with them, I would guess you dont get to do that if you have rakeback, although I am not sure. The competition is pretty soft, but I have noticed it getting better, I think that online poker is getting better players across the board, but I do well at PKR.

Anyway, the micro cash games are always pretty full, so lots of choice, lots of MTTS that I like and SnGs are ok, but you sometimes have to wait. However, for the most part you can get in a low buy in SnG pretty quick, maybe worst case 10 minute wait, usually much quicker. Evening - European time - is the busiest.

Im fletchdad there, so if you are on a table with me, say hi and let me know u r a CCer. If I raise, u better fold tho, cause I only raise with the nutz....... :)

Wouldn't be able to see the tables if you turned off the graphics, it's 3D play or nothing :)

Got a friend who plays there, standard of play looks poor but I've always avoided it because you can't get in as many hands...might try it out after exams though.

What network is this site on ? And how many players are online at peak times?

I'm wondering if those graphics and all can be distracting 4 tabling...

i think someone posted US can only do playmoney. there are a bunch of different table views. first person, dynamic, orbit, overview, and others. i think the overview look would be best for multi tables (never multi tabled but seems the best) and it is set so you have to manually look at your cards (like on tv) so you'd have to change it to the option where your cards are shown at like pokerstars. it's in europe, i googled pkr poker room review and it can do a better job with the info.

chedda, nope not US friendly, sadly.

And complex, I was just in an MTT, (3 tables left, me above average stack, with Kh 9h, flop Kc 9c Ah, me all in - raised and re raised - , called by Jc 2c, turn 7s, river 6c....arrrgggggg so now I have time to post lol)) its almost 10 am Central European time. Peak time is evening CET. Many European players, but also Canadian and Australian. A few from the Asian countries.

Players now 3700 almost 500 tables. In peak times can increase 2-3 times, especially weekends. So not incredible traffic, but always cash games, and lots of MTTs. I play lots of SnGs, evening no prob, days sometimes a 10 minute wait, normally not more, with the occaisional frustrating longer wait.

Im assuming here - sorry - but I think its an independent network.I googled it and found 1 site saying independent, didnt spend much time looking tho, so I guess it is.
