Hello, with all the negitive posts I've read here about PitBull Poker, I felt since I've been playing there nearly 3 years, maybe I could help answer some questions you may have about the site.I'm not an employee of the site, though I do feel like one from time to time.So if you have questions about the site, and want an everyday players opinion about your concerns as opposed to a paid employee like Dave Brennes, you can get it here.In my next post I'll explain why I play there despite the rumors of scammers, employees using shills and viewing opponets hole cards ,ect.I will say this right off the bat,,It's my favorite site to play $5 and under MTTs.Also I think Dave should be given a little respect for openly talking to us and adressing our concerns regardless of how outlandish some of them may be.I dont know Dave, but he seems to actually care about our concerns and handles himself like a gentleman and a businessman.I'm adding my 2 cents here because I think I've been playing there as long as anyone ,besides a select few that I still see there that were there when I started playing online in Oct. of 2006..Ty... coyboy33

When I play Limit Stud Hi/Lo on pitbull the site allows a double bet on a pair 4th street, and then will not let some players bet in the hand.

what do you know about this ?

From my perspective they have no idea what the rules are for stud high low, and their software is an inferior poker platform which would better serve the company to shut down and start over IMO.

Would like to hear what you have to say, I reported it to the site 6 times and never got a reply, is it fixed ? I dont know, You couldnt pay me to play there.

Hello bfw...Let me start by saying I'm no limit stud expert.Ive played hi/lo 8 or better a few times on line, but I'm mostly a no limit holdem player and I'm a tournament player though I do play cash games. If i read your question right some can bet double on 4th street if they someone has an exposed pair.Other than that you cant bet double till 5th street if I remember the cash rules "its been a while".However you've not been able to double bet in this scenario. If im correct, let me know please....As for the "You cant pay me to play there" coment,,It's a free world..Heres why I play there despite the clunky softwear and the occasional need to reopen the site due to disconnects ect.....When I decided to play online poker I was looking for a site where a beginner could get a lot of quick experience for little actual risk of losing a lot of money as I was learning.I started with freerolls anywhere I could find them, poker stars ,Full Tilt, U.Bet and at least 10 others I've all but forgotten about. After severaI weeks,I found PitBull with a google search when I put in the search "Free money to play poker" I used the bonus code I found and after a chat with their live support I recieved the $10 in my acct.Naturally, since I knew nothing of bankroll mangt. as it's applied to poker, I lost it in a few hrs. at the .25 nlhe cash table.Back then there was a $50 freeroll each hr. that had a 500 player cap. They have $25 freerolls now.I started playing these every hr.Over the 1st 6months of online play this was the only site I felt I wasn't totally outskilled by the pool of players.Hence ,I almost started playing there exclusively because, I placed in about 1 out of every 10 freerolls I played there.I read everything I could find about nlhe tourny play..Harrington on holdem being the best of the lot.I would win a few $$ in the freerolls then try the $1.25 sit n goes, lose the $$ and do it all over again.I had a blast and it cost me no $$$. At several points I'd build a decent bankroll, then lose it playing over my bankroll.Still, I was gainning valuable experience for no risk, just time. Then I had a near death experience and was in the hospital for 4weeks, then had to due some jail time almost as soon as i got out for past due fines.Since I had time to think about life and all in the semi-meditive environment of the local county jail,I thought I would decide what i was going to do for a living.I was a pool hustler and sports gambler during the late 80s and early 90s when 9ball was the in thing like poker is now.I realized the reason I was losing my roll wasnt because I was no good, it was because I wasnt using bankroll mangt. like I did in pool and sports gambling back in the day.So I read everything on the subject as soon as I got to a computer. After reading up on this aspect of the game I came to the realization that, There was far more money to be made in online poker than I ever made playing pool..and I was a damn good 9ball player. So on that day about 2 yrs ago I realized that I was going to be a winning online poker player the rest of my life, and I have been.....to be continued........next post I'll tell you why there's no better place online to build a bankroll than at poker than PitBull Poker......coyboy33

Hello, I'm going to explain why I'm always telling people to play at Pitbull.1st I'm talking about a new to online poker player not an established winning player. You absolutely should be playing at P.Stars or Full Tilt if you're a seasoned player that plays $10 and up.However, I'm directing this thread to freeroll players that think they are ready for real money tournies.here's my list of reasons.#1.PitBull will give you $10 up front to try it out..when you sign up use bonus code PBPT then contact live support "there's a link on your homepage for this"#2.the player pool is much softer in the toutnaments on PitBull than on any major site #3.They feature guaranteed Payout tournaments starting at $1.25 per entry that pay a total of $25 to the top 3 finishers #4.there's seldom 25 players in these which is what it takes to cover the guarantee #5.the average number of entries to these tournaments is 15 players "less than a 2 table SnG on Poker Stars or Full Tilt #6 in the $25 guar. you get over 9/1 back on the entry fee if you place 1st "in a 2 table $1.20x18 man SnG you only get 6/1 back for 1st.#7. theres only $18 total payed to the top 4 finishers in the SnG compared to $25 in the $25 guar.#8.theres also many $50 guarantees with an entry fee of $3.30 and the same structure as the $25 guar.#9.theres several $100 guaranteed $5.50 entry fee tournies same basic structure it pays 9/1 for 1st also..#10.all these tournies are almost always short of 20 players, avg. is 15...#if you are a decent player and use good bankroll mangt., with $1 ,$3 and $5 tourny that are basically the same as a 2 table turbo SnG on P.Stars..So use the $10 to play tournys.... avoid cash games....GL...coyboy33

Thanks for the tips. I'm not a big fan of Pitbull because of the dodgy software but I could see there was a lot of value to be had there because of the low player numbers relative to the guaranteed tourneys on offer.

I'm going to have another look at it and see if I can start to build a roll there.

:)

Things seem to be fine Monday moning if you want to tourny up.No reports of server trouble.Remember to delete your temp. internet files under tools then options then reboot your computer if you're having trouble. Also firefox is a much better browser than IE 6,7 or 8 for Pitbull Poker....!!!!!...coyboy33....

If all of this is true in this post, then how are pitbull making money? The whole point of creating and supporting a poker site is to make some profit, but from what pitbull is saying, they are giving a lot of money away to relatively few players with all tournaments paying out more than they actually take in?

I believe they more than make up for it in their cash table rakes "the dead blind fee for one is a money maker", casino and sportsbooks, 5dimes and there's a couple of other small poker rooms the are linked .....coyboy33....
