Hello!

1 year and 2 months ago i lost my bankroll at pokerstars and was prety pissed of, so i send pokerstars and email and told them i had a gambling problem and if they could close my account.

i got a reply that they will temorarly close my account.

but now that they have gotten together with full tilt they have decided to permanently close it.

Now i have a full time job and disposable income, and would like the account back because of the high amout off traffic. But ive said the magic word "gambling problem" so is there anything i can do to reopen it? i havent broken any other rules.

Permanently is lifetime? anyone got their accounts open after something like this?

Pokerstars prety much got 90% of the worlds poker traffic ;s

Yeah i did and got this in responce:

Thank you for your email.

We are sorry, but your account cannot be reopened. We take our responsible gaming obligation most seriously, so if we have permanently closed your account at any point, we cannot reopen it.

We hope you understand our position and wish you well in the future.

Seems like if someone even mentions the word gambling problem your out for life.

i mean i get it, if someone realy has a problem they shouldnt be playing, but no like i lost a fortune or anything and i got disposable income now.

write them. not us.
Actually they have option at the lobby to exclude you from playing for some period.
Of course they will reopen it. Cause they need your money! Sorry, rake. They need your rake! Since it's Amaya....

I'm quite sure that they wont let you play again, they even might send you websites for gambling problems support. They take "gambling problems" really serious because they have to, not because they want to. So, i will save myself of trying if i were you and choose to play elsewhere.

They wrote the law. No? It was just my suggestion. We should ask author of the threat. But I doubt he will ever answer.

You will have to talk to them but chances are you are burnt with them. They have no choice as this is a compliance issue so they can maintain operate in their regulated markets.

best bet would be to contact pokerstars and see what they will do for you. that is where you will get your best answer.

I closed my account for 2 years but no due to gambling issues and they re-open the account no problem. The only issue I ran into is not being able to partake in PSO events, which does piss me off a little with so many things being tied into the league now.

But I think the gambling problem aspect may put you in a different category and I could see them wanting to clean up optics for any chance of poker coming back to the States.

What? They said I can close PSO account but didn't say I can't reopen it. I'm really interested in the reason. PS account is less important than PSO account?

Well, as a devils advocate.. you used the wrong words, like you said. If the account was funded enough (and you would be able to put some effort into it), you might wanna try their "helpdesk" and explain the situation! Just don't get mad, calm decent words will help more at these kinda topics is my belief.
