Partypoker vs. PokerStars & GGPoker

I always wonder why there are 10 times less players at party poker than pokerstars and even at ggpoker. What is the reason for this?

Good question! I think the reason is linked to who can best disseminate the platform. For example, Daniel Negreanu signs with GGPoker and now has tripled in size in the space of a year. partypoker is good poker-focused promotions.

When it comes to the number of players in the cash game and the variants: Texas Holdem and Pot-Limit Omaha, PokerStars has the lead. It all depends on what you are looking for.

I think PartyPoker is at the growing growth stage at the moment. Let's check back in 1 or 2 years and I can guarantee they are up there if they keep this promotion madness and cheap fees up for little longer.

I think it is like in all types of sites, one is more popular than the other one. Way more people knows pokerstars than partypoker. This can be compared (keeping some boundaries) to news channels/sites. The news are same in all, but some are visited more often

Best software: Pokerstars
I do not like about Party Poker.
GGpoker: I have not tried.

The table layout on Partypoker sit &gos is very basic on the tablet.

I consider GG poker to be one of the easiest rooms to make a profit, I don't know if it is because it is relatively new but the times I have played there I have made very good profits. In pokerstars tragedies happen that sometimes bother me a lot, but I can't stop playing there, we are clear that it is insurmountable.

I believe because Party Poker is the more restricted site in terms of European, North American and Asian access.

I can play GG and PokerStars, unibet and 888 also but Party Poker is restricted where I live.

All these site suffer restrictions of one type to another from one continent to another but it would appear Party Poker suffers the most.

Hi! poker stars has the best software, a large selection of games for any money, and you can use auxiliary programs. I don't like GG at all. The software is terrible. Party poker is better, but the choice of games, such as sng, is much worse than Poker stars.

I think pokerstars are the best side in the world. There are many tournaments, many game types, many players, most freeroll tournaments can be found here, every player can find the game that is favorable to him.

Pokerstars 100% for me. Always cash games to play whatever time of day. I like Party but to many playing restrictions, cant see tables, no hud etc and not enough games going on.

GG software sucks ( Micky mouse software) and from what i have heard on the forum depositing, withdrawing seems a nightmare and support is hopeless.

So I just play at Stars now and love it

Definitely, if more players have registered on the poker site, it means that the best conditions have been created for them - software, choice of games, tournament times and much more, + advertising !!!

Why withdrawing is a nightmare on GG? Even after full verification?

Party Poker:

pros: good software, good cashback for cash players
cons: not recomendable for tournaments players, almost no freerolls, even CC game is not a freeroll.

Pokerstars:

pros: big traffic, best tournaments, fastest payments.
cons: heavy software consuming a lot of cpu

GG Poker:

pros: bitcoin option as payment.
cons: terrible software

note: i stopped playing in GG Poker about 1 year ago, so i don't have much info about what is going there during last time.

plus Partypoker's service reps and general support leaves something to be desired,,,that hurts them,where other sites are helpful and offer support when you need it,,, plus,recently they made changes in their policy on $$$ transfers that make it more difficult to get your money,,,i was made to jump thru many hoops,plus dealt with a snotty support person who was not helpful at all.

I used to play on pokerstars back in the day and just kept playing there. Although I an really considering switching rooms as PS rakeback is just a JOKE. Their reward crates progress in the points you need to get in order to get one rate and the contains of it just suck. I used to get 800 points (which is 8$ in rake) to get 60 star coins which is 0.6$ . And the last time I got a crate the threshold to get one raised to 2850. Yes you got it right - 28,5$ in rake to get a shtty crate that has ~ 1$ inside...

PS has the biggest Tournaments, Homegame posibility, bad rakeback--Party Poker his own and GG a confusion of offers, but all have me, psst and 888 Poker has me, too hope you all finding your best fun and games

I like GG-Poker, Pokerstars and Partypoker in this order.

PokerStars is the most popular poker room in the whole world. But not all countries can play GGpoker.

Partypoker has a software problem.As for GGpoker, it has only one plus this is the software,everything else is just awful)))PokerStars is number one in everything!

From the 3 mentioned one, the Partypoker is my favorite, even they have plenty problems, but the similar sized - not small, not big - rooms mostly disappeared in the last decade. They have low fees, leaderboards, not full with 2K+reggs on tourneys.

After GG, even dont like their software, just read in this week, they took over the weekly CG traffic from pokerstars for the first time, obviously much better than ps, and the size of the room is growing, soon will be number 1, still have much better rakebacks, promotions than ps.

ps. left long time ago. the only positive thing what i can mention about that, they still have the biggest player pool, especially tourneys. But i see, more and more players - even fun players - wake up, there are plenty better out there...
