Hi Guys,

It would be great to get your input here. I use both pokerstars and party. I have to say i like playing on both, but im frustrated with the lack of decent prize pools on party. It seems to get to any 30k prizepool you must pay in 320$ dollars. Whereas with stars, true the fields are huge, but daily you have 11$ bounty builder for 50K pp. Interested to see what you guys prefer?

:ciao:

With no doubt in my mind - Party. Huge overlays and much smaller fields, further decreasing variance and increasing win rate (assuming we dont sun run enormous fields).

I don’t really like partypoker too much as I ply a lot on my mobile and their Apps are absolutely horrendous so I’m not too sure about the players over there but I’m pretty sure that PokerStars has one of the most difficult user bases to play against so if you are ok playing partypoker stick with it, I have recently decided to move over to 888poker though.

I do not like either one. Between two of them I have found Partypoker better suiting my needs in terms of buy-in and schedule.
About their mobile apps, I think they do not quite understand the meaning of the word mobile.

The PokerStars App is great but I 1000% agree with you about PartyPoker’s app, it is the most basic, ugly and the worst functioning poker app I’ve ever used.

Interesting conversation. Actually I am confused to give answer in comparison both poker rooms. It depends also on limits and volume you play, because party has some rakeback, so it depends.

For me the lack of hand histories on PartyPoker is a deal breaker. I have not played there for several years, and with their recent changes I see no reason to come back. I currently play at PokerStars and 888 Poker.

To build on the hand histories point, I don’t believe partypoker is rigged at all being one of the biggest sites but I have seen many posts about people not liking sites that don’t have hand history as it’s harder to find out if they are actually rigged.

I dont think so also, but Party has taken away the option for players to independently verify, its not rigged. And to easier detect and prove, if other players are cheating. And also I simply like to collect my hands for later analysis in PT4. Even when I play SNAP on 888, where the HUD is not working, its still helpfull for me to have the hand histories to look at my hands later and see, if I made any mistakes, or if I have general leaks in my game.

I find Stars has more tournaments running later in the evenings and pays more places. Sometimes on Party I find a lack of mtts in the evenings. I do much prefer Party for satellites as the satellites do not finish way into the target tournament disadvantaging you.

I do not like them removing the hand histories. I have definitely come across collusion and chip dumping before. This does not mean the site is rigged but we are playing for money so inevitably you get people that cheat. Without hand histories it is very difficult to forward this information to the site. Many sites expect you to notify them if you think something funny is going on and I think this move makes it easier for players to get away with it.

I saw something, that very much looked like chip dumping, when I played a tournament last sunday. A player had like 4 BB left and opened to 3.6 BB in HJ leaving himself a tiny amount behind. BTN had around 12 BB and just called him, everyone else folded. On the flop HJ went all in, and BTN folded and gave him the pot, so that they both had around 9 BB after the hand.

Now this was a freeroll, and they were clearly recreational players, so I dont care to report it. But if it was two regulars doing this in a paid tournament, I would not be so forgiving about it. And at 888 or Stars I have the hand history, so that I can easily send it to the security team for review.

I started on Party years ago and loved it, however when I started playing for real and took it serious I moved to Stars, it's the best poker site around imo, has everything you'd ever need.

POKERSTARS:
Benefits :
- the most beautiful graphics from all poker rooms
- bigger tournament prizes
Disadvantages :
- a larger field to beat
- a big rake
- Weak loyalty program

POKER PARTY:
Benefits:
- Low field in tournaments
- good rakeback system
- low rake
Disadvantages:
-Low prizes in tournaments with low buy-ins
- worse graphics than PS

Party, even with the banned HUD feature. Stars has the best software but close to the worst games of open fields.

I prefer pokerstars. I have more wins on this site. And here you can, as you wrote, get to the tournament with big prizes for a lower fee.

Without a doubt, PokerStars is the best.
First of all, PokerStars has a reliable software.
Secondly, PokerStars has a huge selection of good tournaments.
Third, the promotional program for casino players is also one of the best. Therefore, I prefer PokerStars.
