So I signed up for Overbet a couple weeks ago, they had a nice bonus for first timers so I threw in $300. I built my bankroll in 1.5 weeks to just over $3k. I've learned from past experience that I play better when my BR is small. So I withdrew $2500 and started back with $500, I enjoy building BRs this way. I played mostly PLO 1-2. I dominated the game and was up $2700 in a few days. I decided to withdraw that money and start over with $500. After a string of crushing defeats, runner runners, etc. I was able to stabilize the BR at around $700 in even the worst situation. Anyway, I took a bad beat and had about $500 last night and decided it was time for bed. I opened my account today and there was nothing. I went through my history to double check and sure enough the BR was around $500. However, when I logged in, it said the BR was $0 and in addition, despite generating over $35k points in a short period of time, I wasn't eligible for freerolls that I definitively qualified for. I have no faith that Overbet will set me my money as they've been ignoring me. This is absurd. My goal was always to make $1500/week and Overbet completely screwed me. Especially with the freerolls. I've contacted them numbers of times and have been ignored. What the **** am I supposed to do? This is an absolute joke and I got royally screwed. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm considering contacting the DOJ about this. They just ignore me over and over. Clearly something is amiss.

I don't think DOJ could do anything for you, try contacting Kahnawake Gaming Commission(if overbet continues to ignore you) where they got their egambling licence. Good luck trying to get your money back.

That sounds incredibly similar to what happened to me with Blackchip Poker. http://pokerbanter.com/threads/5590-Hacked-account-on-Blackchip-poker. Check your email for unauthrised usage.

Yeah, that was my first thought, too, that someone hacked your account. If you haven't already read through the link above, do so. (Very informative, thank you for that, EF). Unfortunately, I'll bet OverBet will say the same thing. That the hacking occurred on your end through not having up-to-date security, etc, etc and it's not their fault. Still gotta try to get your cash back, but I wouldn't count on it at this point.

Wow... this really is an eye opener to me. I was for the longest time using the same passwords for my email and poker sites which everyone says NOT to do. I did have one of my email accounts on Yahoo! hacked the other week... no harm done as it notified me that someone in Poland logged in... luckily I am not stupid enough to keep sensitive info in my email.

Thank you for this eye opener! I would be really pissed if by my own laziness to change password's caused me to one day find out my BR has been wiped out! Ouch.

I hope all works out well and nothing like this happens to ANYONE in the future.. Thieves deserve to have their hands cut off!

My two cents,
Moe.
