I've talked about having problems not being able to cash much at BCP for some unknown reason. Frist of all I'm not a quiter. I want to keep at it without busting my BR, so for the past week or so I been only playing 10nl and everyday I picked up some cash even if the lowest is $0.50 but the biggest is $30. And I can't play this 9 man cash game but once a day because it don't get together but once a day. So my question is for example, I have $100 now and I'm winning at cash, so how much should I have when I get back trying the MTTs where I'm losing at right now? But I was also thinking that I have to win at cash to pay for the MTT and if I don't, I don't play one that day. And I would always have the BR to fall back on.

If cash is going well why not stick with cash for a while and build up a sizable br before getting back to mtt's if you decide to go back to them.

However, 10NL with only now 10buyins is pretty risky but if its going well then keep at it .... what br you need for going back to mtt's obviously comes down to what BRM you are attempting to follow if anything and that would basically be a decent brm for 1.1$ mtt's and lower.

Basically you are looking at playing cash to profit and then entering an mtt, it's rare that you wouldn't have a day where you may get destroyed on the cash tables ..... given you have 10% of the br on the table in a cash game how is it going to effect you mentally on a day you drop a buyin or two of cash. Would you plan on wanting to recover that before playing mtt's again or looking only on a daily basis in regards to if you win you will play an mtt but if you lose then tomorrow is a new day?

If mtt's is what you truly want to play then play the 1$ and lower games and should your br drop to 50$ maybe grind some back on cash (however I'd suggest not a high ROR 10bi BRM for cash as it could go very wrong.

Thanks man for your reply. First of all I have a little more than the $100. I was just using that as an example. Cash has been going well, and I will keep playing at the 10nl as long as it's going good. But the thing about me I'm always keeping in mine my BR. You guys taught me well on that one. So, if I lose $3 at cash, I quit and try another day. I had been playing $3 and $5 buyin MTTs, but going to take your advice and there are 3 MTTs between 4:15 and 5:30 on there that just fit right into that $1 and lower. Think I'm going to play 2 of them today, since the cash table has 5 or 6 waiting. GL to you BluffMeAllIn.

Well I played a small $1.10 buy in $150 GTD at BCP yesterday and took 9th and tripped up my money, which is very little, but the important thing is that I did cash. I also picked up a buy in at 10nl. So BR went up $12. I think I'm just going to play cash at BCP when I can get into a 9 man table. The small MTTs are not worth the 4 hours it takes to get ITM.
