So after downloading the poker stars poker site again I remembered why I got rid of it the first time a year or so ago. It is the only site I have come across that you play you butt off in a satalite tournement and then you realize that you don't know how to play the game you have just won a seat to in a weekly round. I am very dissapointed in that site. At full tilt you play for a seat in the same catagory as you are playing. I play HoldEm, But if you have a site where I can go to learn how to play omaha or Razz I will be more than willing to learn these two games. I was raised on Stud but I am no good at it so maybe I need to learn it too. People on these site aren't willing to explain the game to you so how do I learn. with out loosing my clean underwear? Thanks and good luck at the tables See ya there!

pokerstars has play money tables of Omaha and Razz. This is where you learn. If you "loose" your clean underwear they give you a new set free. The rules are somewhere on the web site help.

Online Poker Sites

I definitely agree playing in play money. I personally play at PokerRoom and UB and that's how I learned how to play, not just Hold'em but Omaha, Omaha 8 and Stud. Once you get a sense of the rules and how the game plays, then if you want to take it to another level, you can try playing for real money. Not a lot, but for a little bit of money. Yes, you may run into the donks, especially if you're at the lower limits, but there's a better chance that you can find a game where you can expand and learn more including the strategy that's involved in the game.

Another possibility is to pick up a couple of books that deal with the issue or with several games in general including one of the Super Systems.

Good luck to you and hope you learn a lot

You could just look at which tournament you are playing for an entry in to before you actually join the satellite.

Pokerstars qualifiers

If you qualify for a weekly round 2 on Stars and then don't like the round 2 game that week, then you just need to go to the tournament lobby and unregister, you will have an entry for any round 2 event you choose.

The games alternate every week and you can find the order on the website or just check every week. I got knocked out my round 2 within 10 mins by a donk

What He Said^^^
Besides that if you win a Sattelite Tournament or S&G, You are given the
option, YES, OPTION to Unregister from that specific event, that you won it for.
And use the T$ (means Tournament Dollars)..
for another Tournament of equal or Lesser (YES) LESSER
value.

As these fellows recommend, GET familiar with the poker site you are playing
at and learn how to work with the style of their Software.

AND lastly, read before you LEAP!!...there is a Tournament tag Box
on the right side of the Main Lobby and if it is a sattelite Tournament
there will be a BLUE Highlighted area that when you click on it...
will direct you to the Tournament that it is for.

~Hope That helps~

i have heard many bad rumors about pokerstars!

That tells the reader what??? ^^^
That has no credibility what so ever!^^^

I Play there and see some crazy, awful beats and such,
But I still have comfort in the Software and the Games offered,
At the Stakes Level, I can easily choose which range I want.!

I'm sorry, but how is this the fault of the poker site? Why would you sign up for something not knowing what you're playing for? In the comments box of every qualifier, there is an explanation of which tournament you are playing for, along with a link to that tournament lobby. Click on that next time and see if it's something you want to play.
