How to identify a bluff when playing online?

In solving this issue, your experience and intuition are the two main ally and assistant! However, one should not be suspected of bluffing everyone and take radical measures, it is necessary to weigh all the information you have about your opponent and take an accurate and calculated decision in each individual case, not succumbing to your emotions. There is a poker software that can be purchased and you will have information about each of your opponents, based on it you will be easier to identify the bluff of your opponents, but it is not a guarantee of success.

This is 100% correct. I would add in the more aggressive a player is the more likely they are bluffing. Now I'm not saying you should call them out, or make a hero call with A high. You still need to use the advise above before doing so. For instance, lets say I sit down at a table, and I fold my first 3 hands, but there is a player that has played every hand, and bet every street. You better believe I'm waiting for the opportunity to see a showdown from this player. The min they show down, I can remember their bet sizing on every street then collaborate their actions based off what they had at the time. Now the easiest ones are the ones that will bet with anything, never fold, and sees like every flop. Your top pair is normally gonna be good here, don't worry about draws, just let them hang themselves, but never check raise them. Now some will bet bigger on draws, and lower when they hit, Or Vice Versa. These players you can Check raise when you believe they are trying to push off with a draw. After you hit top pair....

at the end of the day its all about paying attention, and replaying the hand in your head after you see a showdown or 2. Assuming they haven't already busted all their chips to someone that got to them first.

You have to pay to see if they bluff you. Be it online or live. And you will never know for sure unless you have the nuts.

But there are some indicators. Other than counting probabilities its combining hints like someone who see and bet a lot of flops, someone who caught at showdown betting big with marginal hand, someone betting from the button, someone whose bet seems to try to put you out of the pot, someone who folds when check raised, someone who can afford bluffing, when there is a few players in the pot or its heads up, when you give spot for to be bluffed like showing weakness.

Most players go Tom Dwan when catched bluffing on showdown and exploit their loose table image. So showdowns can be tricky. My personal favorite is when I fold preflop the nuts and see someone betting the river like he have the nuts. Nobody knows if he really had it or not, besides me.

In conclusion, bluffing is telling a story. How do you know when a story is fake? When you find irregularities and things that don't match when put together. Betting that dont support the story should ring you a bell. If you hold the nuts would you bet the turn big enough to make your opponent fold? No, beacause you want them in the hand. Sometimes a check raise works for me to make someone fold a bluff. Being a little calling station like Negreanu makes bluffing you riskier and would go to more bluff-susceptible players.

It is not easy to identify, at least not on the freerolls

One time they bluff, not another time and changing players is such that it is almost impossible to profile a player.
My opinion. :D

a complex question of course but I think you have to feel it yourself you need to look for the player a lot of time to explore its combination of poker and then you will be able, though not a lot to understand when a player is bluffing

In my opinion a large percent of online players either bluff often or call anything, and i do mean anything, and more times they get lucky and beat my hand. I try to stay away from those

Just work through the preflop and post flop action and see if it makes sense. Is their bet trying to get a fold or a call? Also pay attention to what that player has been doing in other hands

Try bluffing with absolute crap several times in a row but change your betting and how far you want to push your hand. I've hit a full house with 2-7 off suit more than once so sometimes your crap can turn to gold. Moreover, I look at what and how the player(s) I am in the pot with bet their cards when it comes to a showdown if it's not too expensive. You have to play your marginal hands and you have to bluff in order to win more than lose.

Keep Notes

Keep notes in the area of the chat box intertops, and ACR have a notes option and keeps your notes on a player from game to game.... It takes time, awareness, and if you keep a note on a player everytime you notice a betting habit, or something out of the ordinary. Most are creatures of habit and prefer to raise certain amounts when playing a winning hand.... but are all over the place when bluffing. Keeping notes of betting amounts when you see they knew it was a winning hand and that bet amount helps me to see a pattern online. Hope this helps!

Some players are obvious, always raising big from the button when they can't always have a hand. Wait for a hand and play back at them.

It's much, much harder to tell if a player is bluffing online. I watch their betting style -- how much they are raising from preflop, flop, turn and (hopefully not this far but,) then the river. Sometimes you can get a feel for an inexperienced bluffer when they are uneasy putting more money into the pot or have minimal but consistent bets.

It is a matter of judgement, the best is when you know you have the best hand and the other player reraises again!

When the hand feels like it does not make sense. When the sizing of the bet looks suspicious.

Bluffing is very difficult to determine in the game online, you need to watch for a long time as the player plays and look at what it plays, where you need to feel it, it's hard to understand when the player is bluffing, or you need to look at his rates when he raises and at such times you need to take risks!

Hello.
I think, you need to watch closely the game of your opponents. It is important to analyze the size of the bets, each player at the table. And do not forget to take into account the position of each player at the table.

it's easy. play a lot of tables and you'll see quite quickly how people generally play. Over time you will start seeing how people bluff and when. The more you learn poker, the more you'll learn this.

Decision-making time also plays an important role. Long thought before a stake usually speaks about a weak hand, and the fast stake signals about draw. Before a big bluff people can think for a while whereas usually nobody potters with a strong hand. Widespread mistake of players of low and average limits is a fast game when they face simple decisions, and slower when they face difficult. And besides, distinguish the players belonging to this category, as well as that which intentionally try to mislead you the speed of their actions.
