So I have been playing a lot of blackjack in the casinos on Merge network. There are times that I do well, but eventually end up negative by the end of the session. I also play roulette every now and again bc it seems to have more of an advantage. Anyone here ever play in these online casinos and if so... your thoughts please?

Casino games for me personally (no poker) are a waste of time and money. I don't see how you can be a plus in the long term, but still, I don't have enough experience in such games. According to me is too big "luck" factor. Have a day with lucky win, OK. But how are you these days in comparison with unprofitable? I don't know ... so I see it. Success!

Ppl like risking some money for fun, that's why Vegas exists.
But it's like lottery, you can only win with luck...
I play roulette sometimes with bonus money (what the room offered), but that's all.

you're always gonna be a dog to the house, in the long run is definitively not profitable

But what about Roulette?? I hear that game has less advantage for the house.

^^^ This^^^^

But what about Roulette?? I hear that game has less advantage for the house.

If there were no zero(s) in Roulette then you would eventually be break even, based on the probabilities and with luck leveling out given enough time. There is no skill involved and you stand to make nothing!
That sounds bad enough to me!
Now introduce the zero (or, as I understand it, zero and double zero on American wheels) where everyone loses to the house regardless of probability on 1 in 37 spins (or 1 in 19 (2 in 38) in America) and it is clearly a mugs game.

The same is pretty much true for all casino games, in that the house always has the edge. I would advise stay away from them

In poker we pay a fee to the casino for running the game, but then skilled players can have the edge over any inferior players.
This is very different.

I don't think so.

I think you can make some money on roulette using the chase method, but eventually you might hit a bad run and loose big. In poker the house makes money off rake and your wins rely on your skill.

EXACTLY. But, if by "chance" you do win and get ahead .... STOP, and come back later. Works some of the time.

I often win enough playing BJ to replace what I have bet on sports. If you get on a streak (it seems) then play accordingly. Continue playing while winning, but once you start to trend negatively, then immediately stop and play another time. If you start out on a negative, STOP, and come back later.

I think on-line casino games can more easily be rigged for you to lose ... it's you vs their programmed computer (that remembers ALL your tendencies of play).

Obviously more people are going to lose in online casinos than win. It's programmed that way.

But there are some sites that, at least for me, seem to pay out well. I've probably won close to 2k from Titan and 888's casinos.

Well, no one said that word "rigged" lol. I have a favorite slot on carbon, called Mr. Vegas, and took 1800 bucks away, with 83.00 invested. I didn't get down to my last dollar either, i think the lowest i sank to was around 65. Then boom, got the curtain 6 times, dice roll, lost count, the mini-slot, 14 times, the last spin put me at $1800.47, and i left there like a fox with his tail on fire. I don't play any table games as a rule, and the slots are strictly once in awhile using carbon's own money. (i have never made a deposit there). There is a strategy in the slots, i bet 25 lines, 5 bets per line, at 2 cents bet. I play 40 spins, and if i don't hit good, i leave. If i am hitting pretty good, i play until the "cool" period comes, then leave. Once i hit $75 on the very first spin, spun 8, or 10 more times, seen that was it on a down hill run, and left. Slots are random, and a lot of players will stand for hours and hours, just poking money in and spinning away, when the best approach is to "catch" a "run", and it's easy, if the machine is "cold", you can tell it, if you are hitting left and right, your on a "streak", and may last 2 minutes, or 5 minutes. Take your winnings and run when you are way ahead, DO NOT THINK IT WILL KEEP PAYING. After the "streak", it's down hill, with the random hit just keeping your butt thinking it's coming, it's coming! Slots are supposed to be random, and they are, but on occasion, you can hit the "random" hot spot, just like the random "cold" spot, all the other in between wins-losses will just keep you a little ahead, or a little behind. Good Luck

Craps (pass/come) with full odds is actually the best player percentage in the casino, but I'm not sure if that's an option where you're playing.

For roulette, it depends on whether you are playing American (0 and 00) or European (0), but for "even money" bets, the percentage against you for American works out to about 5.39% as far as I remember.

I have read about some places which offer "live blackjack" and other live games while online, for the folks who subscribe to the "all online gaming is rigged" philosophy.

Regardless, I wish you the best. Please keep us updated!

I didnt play at Merge casino, but I did at 770 and Red Kings with their funds which I received to try it.
At the beginning i was very successful, but when they saw that i am trying to earn required amount for withdrawal without depositing, i lost all funds.
By my opinion online casino is a waste of time because there you play against operator (house)

online or live blackjack is very much looser games .. the house got huge Advantage above us , cos they let us to decide to take a Card or not , n most ofthe time we bust ourselves without them taking out Cards of them. so it's Advantage for them , so dont ever Play BJ ever.. you can lose huge Money on them on Long term.. on roulette u can win by playin certain way like even or column way , but you Need big br to do that ... so better stick to poker .

For online casino, it s a waste of time and money, you will loose between 2 to 8% on every dollar you bet, either i play in side games on i-poker network only for qualification for freerolls ( like in william hill poker : i bet 10 in a week ( i lost in average 0.5 dollars ) to get acces to a freeroll for 500$ with 200 entrants; thats a win of 2 dollars.

Also i bet a total of 100$ per month to get acces to a freeroll for 5000$ with 250-300 players.

A few months ago I was pissed about running bad for a long time on Carbon, so I tried to donk all my leftover money on blackjack. I was okay for a while, but in the end I lost everything. They gave me the $25 refund, and I made a few small deposits after I started cashing in on poker again . I haven't made any "contributions" since then.
I think I remember that casinos have somewhere around a %1.5 - %2 advantage against you when you play craps, and that's about the best your odds are going to get when go to a casino.

I worked up a bankroll to 500 bucks on merge and ended up losing it all to blackjack/roulette, after I sadly looked at the $0 in the balance it was the saddest time ever. Do not play online casinos IMO, after the session I truly believe it is rigged, and in the end only the house wins.
BTW, i kept winning $20 -$50 before this, then just gave a continuous losing streak of around 15 hands which is where I lost

It sounds like a few of you have had some luck with online casinos but personally I do not trust them.
In brick and mortar casinos their is a high level of regulation and inspection by different gov agencies to make sure that the casinos do not scam their players whereas online it is like the wild west.
In any cse I don't like casino games anymore.
I used to play black jacks when counting cards with positive and negative counts gave the player a slight advantage at B&M casinos but now, in Ontario at least, they auto shuffle every hand so there is no count to go by making all of the players an underdog before you start.
Also I find all of these games quite boring since there is basically no skill involved.

I usually only play them when they are linked to bonuses. and the rollover requirements needed to get them into real money. But I like to play in the weds Blackjack Tournament on sprtsbook, they offer top 30 players 1000$ bonus (@35x rollover i believe).

In general keep a log of your bets, go into the casino saying i CAN lose 10$ on BJ, and more inportantly, I WILL leave when Im up x (i like 8 here, but some might go for 20). This way your sessions can be losing 10 or winng x, andin my place I need to get to 8 10x out of 18 to break even. But 1 or 2 of those times you can hit for more than 8.

Just like poker, minimize your losses, and maximize your profits. Keeping a book of even small slot play will make you a better slots player. Video Poker is a good game that I like to play once in a while, at a real casino my gf hit the jackpot on one.

:D

Stay away from merge BJ tables. Wish I would of listened to the advice the 1st go round. Once the dealer hit an 8 card 21 I had to walk away. Some are luckier than others tho but in my experience Im good with just playing poker.

It seems to me that poker is easier to win than in online casinos.
