Yes I have read about this scandal on many other forums too, it seems like the Ongame gaming platform is in some real trouble and some authorities are involved...or that's what I heard.

The blog is very helpful, I have checked it and it made a lot of things clear for me, I suggest everyone has a go and checks it. It can be translated in any language so that shouldn't be a problem.

I hope they sort out this cheating thing.

I dream of clean poker.

back in september 2009, a group of 5 Bwin players, me included sat in a villa and played a 6 man sng , us 5 and one other online payer in another country, we were in the same room, same IP address, we could have easy colluded,

is that a scandal ?

If you were playing on the same table with the same IP adress yes, its a scandal, bottom line.

And I'll tell you why, maybe you did not collude, no one will ever know that, but what is certain is that some ppl do. As a matter of fact ppl create multiple account and play on the same room with the same computer and same IP. So you are basically playing against someone who sees 4 or 6 cards pre-flop. Try and do that in a live event such as the EPT and wsop and you tell me what they will do to you =)

Yes it is, if you showed your cards to one another. Could you tell us in which country you and your friends were?

I was under the impression that Bwin had risolved the IP issue this year in June... at least in Italy

no we didnt show our cards to each other

it could easily have been one person on 5 lappys

there was no security in place to stop it happening

Surely collusion is more of a problem with cash games

say there were 5 people colluding in a six man sit n go......even if you beat the other player - not really worth it in terms of cash value - his money would barely cover your rake.

ozvillain - 5 might not be convinient, yet even if u are 2- you still get a great advantage and it s unacceptable

you re missing the point here ozvilllian

if we wanted to gain an advantage or cheat at ring games, sngs, mtts, we could have if we were that way inclined

the IP block is there to protect players from collusion

or its supposed to be
