Hello to all,

I have played no limit holdem a lot, year now, and past years, sometimes i got bored.
I tried to play omaha pot limit. This game is awesome! i was so happy while playing that.
Then one day i stared no limit holdem again. after 2 minutes of game, after first fold. I was so bored. i shoutdown holdem again and started omaha again. happy was on my face again from that moment.

It seems to me that omaha has so much more to give to player. much more thinking about the hand while playing the hand. Much more chance to hit something good, much more of everything.

Why is that? Do you find texas holdem no limit, boring by the time? Have someone felt the same on one point?

And why do you prefer holdem over omaha?

My opinion

I play Hold'em because the rain makers like Omaha. The Omaha players like the shove it in your face and you go yeah right they manage to do it. They have done it a lot to me. So much the odds would catch them now. I like the magic of poker when it comes to Omaha and don't want to jinx the magic. I get the magic in Texas Hold'em but it is like this, your do for a hand and the hand just adds Hollywood flair. Like your do for trips with a pair in hole. You have been patently waiting and calculating then you hit trips on the first card on flop. After the turn you hit another card on river. I call it pair in the hole to the bookend quads. Its a pretty cool hand I have gotten quite a bit. Its stuff like that that keeps me interested in Hold'em. Kinda too easy in Omaha.

Omaha fun game there is not boring, there are always a lot of action
The truth is to play in Omaha you need a very tight bankroll, there are large drawdowns and a huge dispersion

Hello!!
in my opinion Omaha Poker is more of a gambler than you have the same chances of winning the pot as in Texas as each player has 4 cards in hand and so on the flop everything is possible ...
for me Texas is the best

Omaha is more strategic and more of a challenging game. It is a totally different from holdem more flop dependant.

In holdem the best strategy is sit around and wait for Aces or there abouts not much strategy involved in that.

However holdem is where the money is at, the prize pools and much bigger.

If you are bored and want to try something different and challenging I would suggest trying headup holdem it is in itesel a totally different game.

It is right
I happens to me too .. when i play holdem after been playing omaha for a while i get boring .. it happens because omaha has a lot more action than holdem but on my opinion luck plays a major role in omaha because you don t have much equity against your opponents

When I first started playing poker I played hold'em cash games, but then I learned Omaha and I liked Omaha and now I'm only playing it, in the cash game HOLDEM it's very boring and you have to wait a long time for a good card, and in Omaha you can play almost on all the cards and I like it!

Omaha is a very interesting game but it's too dispersive
that's why I love hold'em

Omaha is known as a great and wicked game as often you need the nut flush or nut full house. I do not like the draws and swings in Omaha tournaments though the cash games are very fun. Omaha 6-max only as 9-max is insane.
