Very cool to see Day 1 kick off with a new event. There seem to be a TON of sites covering everything, I know I've been using Poker News, Poker Tournament Coverage, Freerolls, Poker Magazine. CardPlayer.com and Poker Wire - Live Tournament Reporting so far today which both seem to be pretty nice. If anyone else has any good sites that offer quick updates, feel free to post them so we can all check them out.

Also, it looks like the wsop will be broadcasting live video from the final tables of a lot of the events on their website (The World Series Of Poker presented by Milwaukee's Best Light), and ESPN has upwards of 50 cameras (up from ~30 last year) covering everything, and from what I've heard all of the coverage will be available in HD. Sounds like it is going to be awesome.

Negreanu could of had a better club flush is why. king of clubs and any other club would have scooped the pot.
Yea, if you only need 4 cards for a flush. </sarcasm>

Funny, and also, how did Negreanu get to muck his hand since the BB smooth called his bet? Shouldn't he HAVE to show his hand first or I'm wrong?

The real answer here is that the reporting on these blogs is not always accurate. They are trying to compile alot of information quickly (usually by hand on a notepad) and then bring it back to the laptop. I've seen them mistype flushes and what not before and when you are reading it you go "Huh?".

Also, I'm surprised that there hasn't been mention of Hellmuth's tirade in here. He continues to embarass himself. I'm ok with the "Poker Brat" image, but not when you are berating your opponent who had pocket Qs to your pocket Js.

Jamie Gold Eliminated
Jamie Gold held pocket Jacks, his opponent had pocket Kings, and all the money went in preflop. No help arrived and Gold has left the building.

Mike Matusow Crippled By Set Over Set...Over Set

This is pretty sick. After a flop of Q-8-3 Mike Matusow ended up all-in with two other players. Matusow turned over pocket threes, another player showed pocket eights, and the third player had, you guessed it, pocket Queens.

"I almost laid that down," Matusow said, afterwards. He's down to about 200 in chips.

I've had that happen in a tournament holding A/A the flop comes A/J/2

All-in with 2 players I show A/A, my opponents show J/J and 2/2

If it can happen in poker it will. :D

Quick Question, if anybody knows- In honor of being HU for bracelet in event 1, was Mueller wearing pants or playing in his payamas?
