I, too, received an offer from Oddsmaker to play poker on that site. I downloaded the software, entered my bonus code and they did, indeed, put $50 into my account.
Reading the fine print, I saw that I had to play 200 raked hands, wait at least 30 days, could not withdraw less than $50 (note that one must win or at least stay even to qualify to withdraw),
and had to pay a minimum fee of $8 (other options were more onerous).
Playing at $1-$2 limits, I ran my balance up to $103 or $104, but in a couple of bad sessions, went back down to $39. Then, when I got it back to $50 and some change, I requested the withdrawal of $42 (allowing them to charge the $8 fee). It took approximately a week, but I did get the $42.
This (Oddsmaker) is not a particularly good site, with few players and tables (except during the freerolls
). They are not responsive to helpful suggestions (such as indicating which players are sitting out). All in all, I would not recommend it.
But, I did get $42 from them for "free."
