Sorry that this has to be my first post here.

Last night, Dec. 9th 2016 I played in a satellite tournament on Bet Online to their 100K GTD tournament that takes place on January 1st. There were 13 entries and the top three were guaranteed seats to the 100K GTD. I won the tournament and thus was entered into the 100K GTD tournament. Upon realizing that I have a football game to go to on that day I decided it would be best for me to unregister for the tournament and hold on to my tourney ticket until a later time when I could better make the determination as to whether or not I would be able to play in the game at this time. Well, you guessed it! The tournament ticket is not in my balance and is non-existent now!!! I immediately contacted both their live chat support and was told sorry but there is nothing we can do, if you un-register from the tournament then you are just screwed. BUT, if that is the case why then would it not SAY THAT ANYWHERE?? I have a confirmation e-mail from Bet Online to congratulate me for being entered into the tournament and no where in this e-mail does it state to not un-register or anything even closely resembling that. I have played poker in nearly every poker room online since online poker began and I have never experienced this level of disregard for a customer or his legitimate complaints over being robbed by the poker client.

What should I do? What can I do? I have already written several e-mails and they don't seem to be motivated to give me what I am owed. Not even reimburse me for the $33 tournament I played. I can safely say that I wholeheartedly recommend AVOIDING THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS!! It has now been 12 hours and they still have not fixed a problem that if it were my company I would and could fix the moment the issue was brought to my attention.

The sadest part is that I have been very successful on this site and I would like to continue to play here, but if they do not rectify this situation by mid-day I will be forced to withdraw my funds and to close my account on their site for good. For the life of me I can not seem to figure out the benefit that this very shady move brings their business.

**UPDATE: After speaking with them several times this morning they have still not re-entered me into the tournament I won entry to... not even a $33 refund for the tournament I played.

I then attempted to cash out and am being told I have to bet $450 on sports before I can cash out... even though I cashed in solely to play poker.

BEWARE!!

Yep if you have ever taken any bonuses they will make you clear the bonus first since their sportsbook and poker accounts are linked. Nothing surprises me with the issue you are having with the ticket. I have terrible luck getting any money off of either site. Man how I miss the days of poker stars here in the U.S. I hope they come through and do the right thing because that's pretty messed up to say the least. Best of luck moving forward...:)

it seems to be a trend at many sites these days, if you win a ticket you are automatically registered and must play.
if they gave you a ticket to register whenever you wanted that would be different.
they do the same at ACR/BCP . no unregistering or cash value.
like you said all we can do is work for legal regulated sites in US.

only choice would be to re-register you in same game
you un registered from but hope they do you right. best of luck

First off, sorry for your situation and hopefully you and BOL can work something out. But...
You entered a satellite to win a ticket to a future tournament on a specific date. You won and they gave you the ticket. But now you can't play on that date. How is that their fault? You want a different type of compensation for the entry, but that was never agreed upon. It wasn't like, play in this satellite tournament for a ticket into X tournament OR the equivalent $$ for said tournament. Everyone needs to make sure they can play in the tournament that they are trying to get into. If they were to re-enter you in the tournament, can you now play in it?
Then your first post on here is to bash the site. IDK, makes me think there is two sides to every story. Sorry.
Good luck in the future. Just my 2cents.

I'm sorry for this unpleasant situation,I think it is at all poker sites now the same situation, last month something like that happened to me at a party poker,I won a ticket to the tournament of $ 5.5,I did not think that the party poker register me for the tournament that it would start by 1 hour,I was in the kitchen to eat and I heard the sound of my computers,I did not think the tournament has already started, and it seems did not know many other players, when I arrived at my computer, I saw a total of 9 players at the table only 1 player is active who was taking chips from the rest of us sit aut players:)I want to say that it should be our choice when we can use the ticket for the tournament that we won, and they register as at the tournament automatically

I think sites are totally within their rights to have must play satellites just like this, if you win a satellite to target tournament that is it, play that tournament or you just lose...However in your situation I am totally on your side, if a site wants to have a must play satellite then they should also protect their customers from un-registering purposefully or on accident. When they win the satellite and are registered in the target tournament that registration should be locked. Giving the player the ability to purposefully un-register with no compensation is dirty and underhanded. The ability to un-register on accident is pure negligence on the sites part, and either way they should correct their end and compensate you and other players until they do imo.

What can I say. Terms and conditions determined by the organizer of the poker room. Hold on!

Changed the misleading thread title.

You should have checked before doing it - they are not the only site that requires you play in a tournament that they give you a seat to. It is their right to do that since they set it up to promote the target tournament

Sorry you lost it - but that was a chance you took when you un-registered for it
