Sounds like an accurate description of Bovoda to me.

Yes,I have nortonav 2012 and I have to turn it off to open up Bovada. It dont define it as a virus,it removes it because of *suspicious activity*.So just turn norton off,to open bovada, then turn it back on after you sign in at bovada. Its fine after that...but you have to go thru this every time you start bovada..My Norton Anti Virus is showing the lobby of Bovada as an online attack on my computer. Has anyone had this problem recently? I play most of my ring games there and this development is starting to bum me out.
YES, mine too ... shows Lobby.Exe and removes it each time. I went in and added Bovada as approve, re-booted and still rejects Bovada. What can we do? Delete Norton altogether ?My Norton Anti Virus is showing the lobby of Bovada as an online attack on my computer. Has anyone had this problem recently? You may have to undo nortons removal of the bovada files, which is possible...but forgot how i did it right now..but you can undo it..when you get the norton message.
How do you turn it off?
From Charade in another thread:
All you have to do is "unquarantine it".
Open Norton Security Suite,
click on tasks,
select check security history, it will be listed somewhere in red.
Highlight it and on right there will be a Options link under recommended action.
Click it and select restore.
In my opinion I wouldnt worry about a virus. Apparantely its new software they're implimenting bc the first time I got it Norton said something like less that 100 users have ok'ed the program. Must be new. But all you need to do is tell your norton to make an exception to the program. When you see the sonar.exe popup in the bottom right (when your trying to open Bovada), just click view details. Then under options it will either ask you to restore the program or allow it. It will fix the problem permanently. Hope it helps.I disabled norton for 15 minutes, thinking that if I could get past the login problem, I would be okay. I am on two tables with my blinds paid and in a pot and guess what happened. Norton turned itself on and closed Bovada. The next time I disabled Norton and set it to turn back on when the computer reboots. This worked and I have played a couple of times since this way. I don't use any other sites while I am playing. I normally liked to play my music from the Google music cloud, but now I stopped. I don't know how dangerous this would be as I am playing now. How susceptible would my computer be to a hack job with Bovada as my only open program?
Its just a new program. I dont think bovada invented spyware. When I made it an exception (the first hour they were back up after updates) it said less than 10 users are currently using this software. Just a new programTo be honest. It sounds like Bovada is snooping around where it shouldn't.
Seems like it's accessing files it isn't privy to.
