I just have a question about the betting in No Limit Texas Hold 'Em. Before the deal, everyone anties and the small + big blinds ante + blind. Is that correct? Then, to play, do you have to at least call the big blind? Or can you just check? Then after the flop, is the minimum bet/raise the size of the big blind?

I just want to make sure I have this right, because I don't think I've been playing correctly.

Any help is appreciated.

yes there is a small and big blind. the small blind is the first person left of the dealer, and the big blind is the next. sometimes there are just blinds and no antes however, depending on how long you want the game to last. then yes, you at least have to call the big blind to see the flop, you can only check if you posted the big blind before the deal. The minimum bet is always the size of the big blind, for every round of betting. If someone bets bigger than the big blind, the minimum bet is set at this larger amount and is incremental. for example, if the big blind was 10, everyone who wants to play bets 10, after the flop if someone bets 15, then the minimum raise would be double that bet, being 30 or anything above that. The next raise would be the previous raise, 30 + 15 etc.
