Just read an article about a new online poker site (no downloads) for US players. You get given $0.25 and can "reload" a quarter every day if you bust out. Make your way to $50 and you can cash out $25. Really odd. They have an interesting FAQ about why the use bots and why you can only cash out $25 if you win $50.

Edit: So far NLH SnGs only.

Has anyone tried them out yet? I'm going to give it a whirl.

Edit: First game played (20-man SnG). NOT exactly challenging poker. Saw things that made my poker brain hurt...

Does anyone play on Bovada poker? I have been seeing crazy shady stuff on there. In addition there are no poker names. I would continue playing on Lock poker, but the payouts are extremely slow. Plus there tourney sizes suck.

Lol just play on bovada they are a great site to play on imo and no problemo lock is a good site aswell hopefull but its just way too shady for me even though I play some cash on there to get better at cash...other than that I dont play there and play bovada tourneys

Haha that was entertaining thanks nabmom. Signed up, played a 20 person TID and now I have 1.2 in my account. Will take 50 tourny wins to get to the 50$ lol.

Might pop in for a play from time to time but being completely from the browser i gotta watch my usage so not something i could look at grinding for hours. It was entertaining though to see how bad they play lol.

the 6man didn't even have anyone in it, seems maybe only the 20 person runs odds are. Anyone else win on there.

I will have to check out the FAQ for the profit model. However given 20% of the quarter is rake and need 50$ to cash out like i said basically you need to win 42 of the 20man to get to 50.

haha this is just too funny, played three more a 6man got sucked out, a 10 man got 2nd and another 20man and won it. Now up to 2.25 haha, only 47.75 more to go LOL.

I'm running like crap where it counts though, maybe why i keep playing this it feels good haha.

tried to play at this site last night. setup is super lame IMO. They only had 20, 12, and 6 player tournaments and only 1 tournament at each level. I considered it to be a huge waste of my time. It seems like a cool idea but its very poorly implemented as far as poker clients are concerned. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Yup gave it a shot for laughs and played 7 games, cashed 6 lol. And hey mlgibbs, why are you checking out a quarter site when you won 250k online? hmmmmm...

It doesn't look like it's worth the time to log in for quarters. They are going to need to make some adjustments if they want to compete with the real sites.
