Previously, my record for getting dealt AA in any freeroll was 4, and I did that several times, each time I won those freerolls.

I beat that record today, getting AA 6 times. Each time I made out great, except the one time it was folded around, and the last time. I got all my chips in, and was done in by a drunk spiking 2 pair. That crippled me and my all in KTs ran into something better.

That was the 2nd round FullTilt ME giveaway, where 9 seats to the actual ME giveaway are awarded. It also may have been the last round 2 for this season.

I finished 16th out of 3800+ players. Every one of them won to get into this tourney. There were no donks, and no maniacs. That alone was strange. The play throughout was what I would see from the pros on TV.

Bottom line tho was that I played my A game, against others playing their A game, and only came up a wee bit short. Very encouraging.......

Awesome job dj!! Pretty impressive 16th out of that many people playin there A game.;) I've played many of MTT's and have never run into AA that much, but then again I don't think I really ever counted. You were so close to gettin a seat, best of luck to you in your future poker endeavours.

Very well done, sorry you came up short but it's still impressive.

6 pocket aces is unreal, I just got off a streak of no pocket aces that was astronomical.

This morning I realize I forgot to do a critical thing. I wanted to check my stats before leaving that table.

I remember noticing at a very late point, maybe the 3rd break, that I had played 202 hands at that point. I made it to another break so I'm thinking that might have got it into the 270 hand range. For ease I will say 300 hands cause it was getting time for the 5th break when I left.

6 AA/300 hands is way high. I was not plagued with low PP's as I have been in the past. Lowest I can remember was a 44 at a good time to shove and it got the walk. QQ once, KK nonce. JJ a couple of times, folded post flop both times I think. TT once, shoved and walked.

Point is that I too have gone what might have been 4000 hands without AA. When it becomes obvious that they have been missing, don't we all remember that eventually the odds will catch up, and there will be a streak of monumental proportions.

For the past week I have been seeing lots of pp's. Mostly low, usually foldable for positional reasons. As nice as it was riding the return of the big cards, it wasn't quite enough. I played well, but with lots of big cards who can't. So maybe I don't deserve any accolades after all. I didn't make it.

It was one of the best sporting rounds of poker I've played, and was fun.

In any other tourney I would have been ITM, and extra thrilled. This was a great field, and the seats awarded last night means the remaining 170 players are playing for 2 wsop ME seats today. I'd call them pretty good odds.

Incidentally, I think the FullTillt ME freerolls are over, and that was the last for this year. I do hope they replace it with something juicy soon.
