2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token - Page 2 - Two Plus Two Poker Forum

The device is a keyfob, according to kidpokeher, a stox member who posted this minutes ago, it's something that generates a unique code every 30 seconds or so. That code is used in conjunction with your PS password to ensure even better security.

Craziness, just another +1 for stars in my book.

My online bank acount haves a thing like that,u just press the button on it and it generates a random 9digit code u type in.
I think its a great idea and will make hacking like a billion times harder.

I was checking that thread and i saw some one say that i might be a problem if u lose your Keyfob since u whouldnt be able to get into your acount but that whouldnt be a problem since most places who use these devices have a back up where u can request the code by text to your mobile(you obvs. have to enter you password and stuff before geting the text).

In that thread a Stars rep actually confirmed they were working to implement it. Not sure when they'll have it ready though.

This would be a great item for the lower FPP rewards.

I have not actually read the 2+2 link on this, however they wouldn't issue everybody an actual unit because it would cost to much money for them to manufacture and send to each player on their site. They will probably make a random code generator that comes up with the client, gives you the number, ect. Which this too would be a silly idea for the fact that any smart programmer would have this hacked in a matter of hours.

The link below is what they will provide.....if they provide anything.....

See the links above. It's a pretty big endeavour and I think they'll probably only make it available for those who request it, and probably for a small fee.

Just guesses though.

I would seriously welcome some added security for piece of mind. My BR is getting quite nice now, and If I'm playing with a min 50 buy in roll at each level then it's sort of worrying knowing that you have that much online.

Iv'e heard a lot of good things about the security there. Seems as though security is becoming a bigger issue these days and cohersing players to new directions. I know I'm gunna check it out.
