This came up today... with the new software update....

I don't know, I checked them out... and I don't like them...

I think they are geared towards the MTT junkies... you know those guys that play 4 or 5 tournaments or ring games at the same time...

What do you think of them?

I take it you have never multitabled before? Its really easy. You get 4 chances to cash with 1 buyin. If you can beat all 4 tables you win all 4 1st prizes. Its a cool thing you play all 4 tables against the same opponents. I like it!

I dont think these will be a hit.
for instance if you play 1-- 2.25 sng and take 1st you win $9

if you play 1-- 2.25 matrix you have to win 1st in all 4 tables and 1st in the matrix to win $9

where as you play in 4 -- 2.25 sng and win first in all 4 you win $36

waste of time IMO

they seem interesting and i wouldnt look at it as the way u are looking at it, ur really paying 2.25 for 4 games so its really like 55c games

I think this may be a good way for some to learn how to multi-table inexpensively.

What happen when you suckout on somebody and then you're still playing with them in 3 tourneys? Uncomfortable!

Just played one of the $1 games for the hell of it... and it reminded me in fairly short order why I hate multi-tabling STTs: the bubble.

Trying to juggle four bubbles all at once is kinda a nightmare. I doff my cap to those that can pull it off. I ended up with a third, two fourths and a fifth, and got rolled right at the last minute for third in the matrix when the only guy that could beat my score sucked out and came back from a massive deficit to win the final match. So that's $1.25, for a total return of 36c. Awesome.

It was kinda fun, but I dunno if they'll be a regular part of my schedule.

For those looking to use them to learn to multitable, BTW, I wouldn't bother unless you're specifically looking to multi-table SnGs. You might eventually learn to juggle short tables, full tables, short stacks, big stacks and bubbles all at once, but do you really need to worry about that if you're looking to play cash games?

There is an upside and a down side to these.

Downside: You are multi-tabling and are unable to put full focus into the game

Upside: You get a better read on players, thus allowing you to make better judgements at the other tables in that matrix game.

Downside to the Upside: The fact that you are multi-tabling extinguishes the thought of being able to get good reads on players unless you are very good at following multiple games at once

So if no one has any idear as to what i am trying to say here it is in a nutshell.....They stink and i don't like them

Jokish :)

ROFL - agree with the downside to the upside. Normally I'd finish up a STT with a decent picture of the way my opponents play. In this game, I think I managed to peg one or two players as "conservative" and that was about it. I really didn't feel like I had any meaningful reads.

Mostly I think they're just a laugh or to draw in casual players. I definitely can't see many people giving up their regular profitable games to play these :p

I think it would be better if say it's an $11+1 SnG, you pay for 4 Tables, so $48 total, and you play all 4 tables and depending on your position, you get a certain number of points. Then outta the 9 people, the top 5 (Increased from top 3) get the cash prizes based on how many points they accumulate. Of course, this would probably be geared more for players with deeper rolls but none the less, it would be lots of fun.

What you guys think of my idea?

I played one, I've had enough. Didn't completely understand the structure going in, bubbling two was not good. Lost .50 on $1+ buyin. The KOs and Survival points only count towards 1/5 the buyin, the rest is just regular sngos. One guy owned my matrix, won across the board.

Can only see this as good option for people who have won a few $ playing a freeroll and want to play the lowest stakes they can...or I guess higher stakes if someone thinks they have a competitive advantage while multitabling.

Ugh! Not worth it. I palyed in a 1.25 Matrix tonight. First, the 25% rake-ouch! Second, the return is not good. I placed 2,3,3,5 on the tables and won a whole cent. Second is .54,third was .36 for a total of 1.26. Less then 1% ROI. If I played 4-1.25 sng and placed the same I would have won net 1.30 for 26% ROI. Just don't see how these can be profitable.

I tried one, mainly to try 4 tables for cheap. I have a hard time concentrating properly with two tables when it gets short-handed.

How can you get a proper read on your opponents when that darn chime's ringing every few seconds? So everyone's playing the cards, or just light 3-betting, and it's a zoo.

I was the only player who placed in 3 of the 4 tables (2nd, 3rd 3rd) and I won.... 1 cent!

One other player placed 1st & 3rd, and he made... 1 cent!

I'll never do that again. Whew. Never knew so much stress. :(

First, the 25% rake-ouch!
I went back & checked, and the rake's even more than that. They list the buy-in for each table as $.20. What happened to the other .05? Does that go to the "Dominatrix" or highest point scorer? From reading the rules, sounds like you have to win all 4 tables to get that extra $.20.

Did anyone get the highest score, and did you get an extra $.20?

Erm... no, the prize pool adds up. For a $1 game, 20c of your buy-in goes to the prize pool of each of the four games, and the last 20c goes to the Matrix prize pool.

(4*0.2) + 0.2 = 1

The 25c rake goes to Full Tilt same as if you'd played a regular $1.25 SnG.

Seriously, unless you really want some cheap practice at multi-tabling SnGs these are awful. As others have pointed out, you've gotta go to great lengths just to make your money back. There's something to be said for the awful standard of play in them, but you'd have to have a gargantuan edge to be able to offset it compared to a real game.

I tried a 1.25 for the heck of it

I don;t think multi on SnG is a good idea especially when you are on the bubble at all four. Most people I would assume multi at cash games. That way there is always 6 or 9 people in there.

I noticed a few times when a blind steal attempt was made against me just to see if I was there at the table.

Here are my results

I don't like it at all. I played it just to try it out and it gave me a headacke..lol... I have a 12'' laptop, so you can imagine the size of the tables I had to look at...
But besides that, it's a waste of time, because at the end, you can barely make your money back...
