New to this forum, re-finding my love for poker again but after moving away from my regular home game and not having the time to play home games or head to the casino, I'm reverting back to online.

Not investing a ton of money yet (~$100) so I'm interested to know two things, keeping in mind I'm playing on Stars currently if that changes opinion on quality of players or style of site:

1) What's the better poker on Stars for lower stakes - cash games, Zoom, SnG or tournaments?
2) I live in canada, most of the players are Europe or Asia so what's the better time to play? Late evening or afternoon?

Looking forward to seeing you at the tables.

You have to remember that the east coast of Canada is five hours behind London in Britain. The farther east you play in Europe and Asia, the more you have to adjust your time clock and find out when the highest playing activity is going on, (no point playing in their night time). Also adjust for your Canadian time zone location.

Welcome to Cardschat, I am new here aswell, pokerstars has a large group of South American players, European players some Asian and Austrailians. So for low stake MTT(my prefrence). Time do not matter.

mtts but not on PS. Very big fields. For mtts up to 10$ you should find other rooms

If u intend to multi table, there is no better choice than PS, since its the only one with huge traffic to work at almost any time.

Welcome. As a fairly new member myself, let me tell you that everyone here is very friendly and helpful. I hope you enjoy your time here and good luck.

Also, you should check out 888poker. Personally, I think it's the best site out there at the moment.

I've had fairly good luck playing low MTT's on Stars, regularily cashing in the $0.50 and lower buy-ins. I tend to join late, wait for a chance to double up, and use that to build my stack. Reached a bit today into a $4 MTT and did well, but was surprised that only 10% got paid, versus 20% or more on the smaller buy-ins.

So here's my Q - those who regularly play low stakes MTT on Stars, do you find there's a big difference in cashing the lower the stakes you go & is that worth the time?

I am curious about 888 Poker - heard good things but I've been Stars for years and tend to be loyal once I decide. Played Party before that and Empire previously to that before they got taken over.

Between the three (Stars, Party, 888), rank the following:
- Bonus program
- Low stakes MTT availability for a Canuck on the east coast
- Mobile capability

Appreciate the input from those who responded. Thanks for writing me back guys!

The mode in which you play - it all depends on you and your free time,. but it seems to me that the temporal order on PokerStars is more convenient for Europeans as more and more people.
games for money, Zoom, SnG or tournaments? - Where the less you lose money or where you win more - this is your game)
