Hello,

I want to start playing on FT with rakeback but I've already openeed an account more then a year ago to play for play money there. I didn't ever deposit or played with real money except freerolls without profit ever. When I login on the play money account and click on the CASHIER button there isn't anything under the Personal Information which makes me believe I haven't put my personal information ever there.

So my question is; Can I open a new account for real money with rakeback in my situation? I've heard from friends that I can as long I haven't deposited or played for real money.

What you do, is what you do. But I can tell you this......

If they find out after you have a bunch of money in the new account, (before you tell them) they'll take it.

Just, take it. <--- Food for thought.

How can they know that I have already a play money account when I haven't put my personal details there? My friends are telling me that they've heard that people have done this without any problems as long they haven't two or more real money accounts.

Because your MAC address on your computer and your IP address that is provided to you from your provider is in there database.....

So I am screwed right? :(

Quote a post from a guy on 2p2: "If you haven't played for real $ you can make a new account. I know people who have done it and played with rakeback just fine."

Do what you want, of course. Just be aware that they can, and have in the past, just closed multiple accounts and confiscated the funds.

It is in violation of their site rules. It's a "VIOLATION" ... what else is there to say? These sites don't make millions of dollars a day by being stupid.

Are you looking for approval to cheat? Please don't come back with a thread later whining about how that mean 'ol site stole your money. You're trying to steal theirs ... in violation of the rules ... :p ... Blaming it on any forum member who said 'they thought it was OK' won't get you your money or your accounts back again.

I'm not looking for approval to cheat. I want to know if people have heard other getting banned because having a play money account before opening a new one. I know that having multiple real money accounts will get you banned but I don't know how it is in my situation and therefore I'm asking if people know how it is regarding play money accounts.

If what you are saying is true accurate and you have not ALREADY created that second account, write to Full Tilt's support and ASK. If there is no problem, they will tell you so. If there IS a problem, they will tell you that too.

Unless of course you are trying to decide if you should do it anyway based on forum member input instead of direct answers from the site.

If you don't want to ask Full Tilt, then risk it all, ... ALL-IN preflop, ATC ... GL .... ;)

I haven't made a second account yet but I want too. :p

I think they'll probably say multiple accounts isn't allowed but that doesn't mean that they're banning people who only had play money accounts before and I don't think they will tell me if they do. :p

An account is an account. Play money or not. The whole reason FTP and other sites allow play money accounts is in hopes that you play for real money down the road. A Play money account is no differant than a real money accout, other than the fact that you don't have any money in your account.

You need a new account to set up the rake back. And the rules of rack back are that you can't have an active account. A play money account is an active account. Therefore, what you are trying to do is cheat the site so you can get a promotion that you don't qualify for.

You know this is wrong, which is why you made this thread to ask about it. So, to answer your question, it's wrong of you to make a new account. However, you can do whatever you want. I know everyone else you talk to says so and so has done it and didn't get caught. Just realize it's wrong and there is a chance you can get caught and lose all your funds.

This would be the best way to do it. Just send them an email and see if you can set up a new account. I would let them know you will prob goto another site if you cannot do this for bonus. At least you will know the correct answer.

Email full tilt. They would rather have a new member with rakeback than no member at all. My hunch is that they will shut down your play money account and let you make a new one.

yes, i've seen many ppl on 2+2 email full tilt about closing their play money account when they wanted to start a new real money account and it seemed as though full tilt support were very accommodating about it despite the response email saying they "dont' usually do this"

I'd go with this or change your service provider so you can ditch your IP and Mac code which are the only things they have to track you??
Try both?

In case you have any question about just "chancing it" and they catch you without telling them first, here are what the Terms and Conditions section says (and I took this from Full Tilt .net just in case they had different terms for play money only)

PROHIBITED USES.
......4.2 PERSONAL USE.
....... The User must provide full and truthful information regarding his/her legal name and identity when such information is requested by FTP. A User may not have more than one account with FTP. Violators of this rule are subject to an account review, which may result in the suspension or termination of all accounts.

......4.5 FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR.
In the event that FTP deems that a User has engaged in fraudulent, unlawful, dishonest or improper activity while using the Software or playing the Games, including without limitation, engaging in any of the activities set forth above or any other game manipulation, FTP shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, including immediately blocking access to the Games to such User, terminating such User's account with FTP, disclosing such information (including the identity of the User) to any person or entity that has the legal right to such information, and/or taking legal action against such User.

PS You could go years before they ever find you out, BUT they generally find out when you have built up your account to $10,000 and request a withdrawal :joyman:

YES YOU CAN GET RAKEBACK

E-mail any rakeback provider and they will set you straight. Make sure you tell them you've never deposited and never played for real money.

Unfortunately I listened to these guys and and emailed FT and they have put me in the line to get rakeback already but it's not sure that I'll get. Isn't it to late for me to email a rakeback provider now?
