So, I've been having really shitty connections to poker clinets I use from ignition casino and betonline. So I tried pinging them through command prompt. All my requests get timed out when I ping ignitioncasino.eu (208.78.16.131) and betonline.ag, and americascardroom.eu. But when I ping pokerstars.com, everything is fine. Is anyone else having really weird issues with connecting to the poker clients for the sites above? I can connect to the sites just fine but when I try to run the client it just either tells me there's a network issue (betonline) or just stays black (ignition poker client).

Right now, 5DGP is down. I was told scheduled maintenance. I do not believe it was scheduled as it went down causing many scheduled tourneys to fail and cancel.

Maybe a DDos attack or even government assault. They are NOT saying. Most of these smaller sites are not very forthcoming when they have problems. The players are always the last to know.

I have regular problems starting BOL within 20 minutes of the $200 & $300 freerolls. They have been victimized by DDos attacks not too long ago. ACR, also.

I feel when a lot of us are trying to log on at the same time that their server protection from DDos attack steps in and keeps us off.

I close any program or browser accessing the internet. I use Crap Cleaner to wipe my memory free. Then I just keep retrying to connect until I get lucky. Once connected, I have never had a problem. I even stream shows and NFL games while playing.

My system is updated version of Win7 with DSL and Chrome browser. I have 4 gig of ram, 1 tb hd & 2 USB drives = 3 more tb of space. Lots of security running 24/7. And my own private proxy and 2 firewalls (router and laptop).

That is my 2 cents worth on the subject.

God bless.

As I say above stick to ACR; it's the only decent american room that actually can compete with the big players in terms of software quality.

5Dimes GP

I haven't been able to connect to 5Dimes GrandPoker client since Sunday (October 22) night. It is now Tuesday (October 24) afternoon. Live chat on the 5Dimes site says it is maintenance but they have no time frame as to when it will be up. I have over 2K in there so I am nervous. Anyone else having this issue?
