I currently have 3 accounts on pokerstars.
One of which I've never deposited money into.
One of which I've busted a while back.
And a new one that I've deposited for the 'First Deposit Benefits'.

I understand that multiple accounts are not allowed.
But what will it be in my situation?
I do not log into two accounts at the same time.

What you need to do is attempt to contact support for them and tell them you would like 2 accounts closed. Having multiple accounts could get you banned for good on sites. Just depends on there rules of the site. But i would pick one account you want to play on from here on out and get rid of the other two

If Pokerstas will know that you have 3 accounts, they will close two accounts and let you oldest account. I knoe this because I had two accounts and someoane told them that and Pokerstars clised me one of them

Contact Pokerstars and play dumb. They will close 2. Pretend you did not know you were doing anything wrong.

if you do not contact them now, they will find it at some point, usually if you attempt to cash out and suspend them all.

A friend of mine did this cos he thought his old account was rigged (lol). Everything was fine until he tried to cash out. He had the 2nd account in his aunts name and had to get all her documents etc. and she wasn't happy about it.

I have tranferred $ to both of his accounts in the past and had to give ID, proof of address etc. so I could withdraw when they were investigating. If you've set up an account with a fake name you won't be able to get the money out. The last thing you want to happen is to bink a big tourney and have the funds seized. Just come clean and stick to 1 account and you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary hassle.

Isn't there a Poker-Stars staff member on CC, if so I think they'll find out sooner than later..

As to the O.P, all you need to do is contact the site and all "hopefully will be forgiven"...Honestly same thing happened to me over on Titan, for the life on me I couldn't recall my SN nor PW there, so I kept on making a new account, long story short, after my 5th time forgetting it (never played on the site), never deposited), I contacted them and told them the truth, well need-less to say (I got banned from there for life:eek: ), and I swear I was just doing it so I can play in the 1k CC monthly game there only reason:( ...

Moral of the story is lets hope Poker-Stars ain't like titan, gl:)

Careful or you will get suspended from the site. I hear it is very hard to get back on a site after being suspended.

You will get banned. I think this happened to me a while ago, when PS was accepting US players. I can't play on PS now anyways, but they will ban you or close the accounts. Best to approach it head on first, let them know.

You have to contact Poker Stars and tell them about your accounts, because they could frozen your accounts.

Just don't do it.
There can't ever be any genuine reason to have multiple accounts.
If there is a problem that needs a change to an account (hacked or forgotten password perhaps) then support can be asked to fix it.
The rules are actually there to protect the other players more than the sites.

Security – Generic account information and account security
  • Q. How many accounts am I allowed to have?
  • A. Players are only allowed one account at PokerStars. Having more than one account is and will be considered as a breach of our Terms of Service.
  • Q. Can I share my account with someone else or use someone else’s account to play at the tables?
  • A. No. Sharing your account with anyone or using someone else’s account to access the software or play at the tables is strictly forbidden and in clear violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Q. How can I close my account?
  • A. Please email support@pokerstars.com requesting to have your account closed and including the reason behind your decision.
It is important to note that having your account closed does not entitle you to open a new account on PokerStars.

Just because a person doesn't have two accounts open at the same time, doesn't mean they won't be discovered. Logging on from the same IP address would be a pretty clear giveaway.

clearly you are not allowed to have multiple accounts but how did you open up new ones in the first place? wouldn't they detect that you are opening a 2nd and better yet 3rd account and stop it? not good man not good

Yes, I really don't know how they can let to someone to make more than one account, but it is more than clear that you will have to contact them, because if they find out about this, than they can frozen all your accounts and you will not be eligible to play on that site any more.

Its hard for pokersite to detect multiaccount right at registration. And I think they dont care about it too much.. They start to care when you will try to withdraw some money :) If you made all accounts on same name and address, you are in trouble :) If you made accounts on different names (father, mother, brother...) I guess you will need to send them all documents (ID, some bill and maybe to make a deposit)

And ofcourse if you have some account registered on your father for example. Even if they verify you, you will be able to withdraw only on bank account of your father, not to yours...

Wrong.

I had multiple accounts on my name at Stars, and just e-mailed them saying I would like to close all of them accept the oldest one and so they did. I didn't have any problems. You can have multiple accounts (not recommended though) if you want, they won't notice it unless you try to withdraw. So just make sure you have only one valid account when you decide to withdraw.

well then couldn't you have like 10 accounts and then play all of them with only 1 you use to withdraw? seems kind of shady, like play a tourney with 10 shots in it and collude like crazy

Huge FAIL

Why is it a fail?

You obviously missunderstood it, so let me explain further:

Of course i don't recommend having multiple accounts (just like i said), especially not using all of them and keeping them active by playing for real money. That would certainly cause some problems. And on top of that if you have been using them for collusion or any other type of cheating, of course you will get banned for life.

But if you lose your password for several times (just like i did) and end up having multiple accounts, there is nothing wrong about it. Just e-mail their support with a reasonable explanation and everything will be ok. They will close the newest and leave the oldest etc.
