Now, I know this has been a topic before, but I was hoping to get some input from some of the regular tournament/SNG players at Stars.

I've been playing on Full Tilt for about a year now, showing a very good profit from my initial deposit. I went on to take a break during school, and found $100 in my account from a refer-a-friend bonus. I've built and cashed a little over 3k since then, but do to a recent cash out for personal things, my roll is pretty small. I was thinking of starting with a fresh $100 roll on stars, mainly for the 180-mans and their larger guarantees. Ring game wise, either place doesn't really make a difference for me. I play 95% sngs and MTTs. With this being said, are there any real advantages to playing at stars vs. tilt, and would starting to rebuild a roll over there be a good idea?

Cheaper rake.

Other than that, I love both sites, and will always play both

Look at it this way, I moved from FT to Stars after being a winning player at FT, and I haven't moved away since, I love PS mainly for its quick filling sngs(although a little slower lately, but faster than FT's), good structured payouts and blind structures imo.......

pokerstars is bigger, so there are more players. This tends to result in a better choice of games.

I'm not sure what they have on FT, but with a $100 deposit I think the $2.20 satellites to the Sunday $100k are worth looking into. They are really soft, and people play terribly at the end. All the winners get a ticket to the Sunday $100k, which you can then unregister for and get $11T (tournament dollars). There $T can only be used in tournament games, but you say that you play those 95% of the time so it shouldn't be a concern.

I prefer the PS interface over Full Tilt. There are only two things, IMO, that Tilt does better.

1) The previous hand window is very slick.
2) The bet slider. (PS's slider is worthless)

Other than that, I find PS superior or equal in just about every respect to Full Tilt. Although admittedly, I haven't played on Tilt for a while, so they might have made some positive changes.

That isn't to say that I dislike FT. Just that PS seems to do everything right; from blind/ante structure, to tournament selection, to promotional.

Zach and I had a conversation about this, as I am trying to plan my long term poker future online. It boils down to basically the "rakeback" in the form of VPP bonuses is much MUCH easier to attain on Pokerstars than it is on Fulltilt. The Iron Man promotion is a real joke.

For us cash game players, it's also about table selection and availability. There are more players on Stars, thus at the limits above 50nl, there are MUCH more games to choose from.

Also between both sites, I have found at 25nl the games are MUCH looser at PokerStars. That's contrary to public opinion but I am just looking at my database numbers ... although my fulltilt hands outweigh my pokerstars hands 20 to 1.
