Just throwing this out there for people on Minted who don't know:

They started offering these freeroll steps -- there's 6 steps of 10-mans (with pretty easy payout structure) -- step 6 payouts are

1st - $15
2nd - $10
3rd - $5
4-5th - Step 5 vouchers

I'm not totally sure, but I think this is only on the Minted skin (not on other Everleaf rooms) but I could be wrong. Maybe someone else can clarify. Hopefully we can get the word out and get some traffic on these. I like them to have on the side of more important tournaments or in between games.

This step program has pretty good value. The only downside I see is the lack of traffic, step 1 fills pretty quick but after that very slow.

Wow, they just dropped the number of steps AND increased the payout values. People should really get on this quick if they want to start up a bankroll from scratch -- it's almost guaranteed money. Everyone who makes it to Step 5 gets paid. Not sure how long they will be running this.

Here are the payouts:

Step 1: 1st-4th get Step 2 voucher
Step 2: 1st-3rd get Step 3 voucher
Step 3: 1st-3rd get Step 4 voucher; 4th-5th get Step 2 voucher
Step 4: 1st-5th get Step 5 voucher; 6th-10th get Step 3 voucher
Step 5: 1st = $15, 2nd = $10, 3rd = $5, 4th-10th = $2

Since they have dropped it to 5 steps it may go a little quicker. Paying out all 10 places for step 5 makes me want to grind these till my eyes bleed as I never plan on depositing at this site.

Agreed, software is pretty clunky and traffic is low. However, it is my favorite place to play as a US player, as cashouts are super fast. Having said that, I play on several rooms. I'm hoping these steps get some more traffic, because there is some very good value.

Merge was always my 2nd favorite place to play even before Black Friday, it's just too bad their cashouts are so slow/suspect.

Its nothing like pokerstars, the software is crap. I'm withdrawing my freeroll winnings as soon as I can to deposit on pokerstars LOL. Does anyone know if there is any withdraw restrictions?

The designers clearly based their client off pokerstars, they just didn't do as good of a job.

Also, I just noticed you're outside the US so why would you even play anywhere other than PS? Lucky.

the thing is since the steps never fill up, they never have to pay out, this is there freeroll technically and this is a good way to attract players but harder than it looks to have the patience to reach lvl 5 although the first level is really soft i played 8 and got step two tickets 5/8 times with the same guy knocking me out in three games when i was ahead in each hand

Ok here is how I do it...Sign up for the various steps(at least 5 tables) go eat supper, cut the grass, spend time with family and shower then all your tables should be filled and on level 2 lol. I am currently holding some step 5 vouchers so hopefully they will fill tonight. $2 gtd.

I don't register intending to grind these -- these are just to open and minimize on the side of other tables. Step 1s = shove top 10% of hands and sit out after you get snap called and triple up. The other steps take slightly more effort, but the point is, I don't treat them as their own games. I just reg as many as possible, put in as little effort as possible, and keep collecting tickets. I don't really play them or even watch them, past making two or three moves per game. And I have way too many step 2 and step 3 tickets to count......

Very good value here and even if you don't intend to grind these then there is value in it for all players. If you never play these free Steps you have to atleast like the idea of them since this is putting money into players BankRolls that may never have planned to deposit. They will then end up playing at your tables which will increase traffic.

Nice promotion and this room offers some real good value with Rakeback, Deposit Bonus, and these other types of monthly promotions they run frequently.

Those higher steps are completely dry. Why wait for them to fill up.

Ok now I have been playing on this site about 3 to 4 weeks and has cashed in about ever game I entered. Just tried the steps and yes as everyone has said steps 1 and 2 are a breeze but after step 3 is when you come to the super slow traffic. Here is an idea: Some of us use to do what they call an Invasion on Pokerstars, and for the ones that don't know that is when we pick a game, mostly it was a 90 man sit n go and as many of us that could signed up for it and yeah we had a prop bet for the last man standing, but to get to the point since traffic is so slow on Minted I think 10 of us could get together and all log in and run from step 1 to 5 and get in on this basically free cash. What do yall think? All we have to do is set a time and we all go grind! Anything wrong with that?

I just got a step 5 also!!!!
WTG both! Cool.

Can't you just reg. for the higher steps & 'wait' for them to hopefully fill up while you continue to keep playing the lower ones?
Obviously the higher ones will start filling up more with the increasing traffic in the lower ones. I've got a couple of friends who are now playing these (after I told them about it) & will continue to try to get more.

I just started playing on these today. Easy to get to step 3 but then after step 3 they slow down. Played for a little over an hour and have 5 step 2s and 2 step 3s. Everybody ships it early in step 1s and they fill up fast so you can play about 15-20 of them an hour. Step 2 was running about 5x hour and ....Had the lobby open for about two hours and 1 step 4 tourney played out and step 5 had 7/10 reg for the whole time. Im going to play some more later and hopefully ill be playing step 5 soon. Need more people to participate so the step 4 and 5 start moving.
