So I hear Minted put a cap on how much you can win at cash tables a week. If you win 750 euros (equivalent) or more then you can't play any more cash until the end of the week.

I'm guessing this poker site is for micro stakes only and can't ever possible have stakes higher than 25nl at this rate.

Just laughable if true and absolutely crazy.

That's one of the dumbest thing I ever heard. Why would they cap it? It not their money that they're losing. Why not just make all micro game then. LoL

Is this for real? If so, that's crazy! I guess the bumhunting play if you were still going to be active on that site would be to only play at the end of the week when all the good people had won the max and were gone. :D

Not quite fully accurate

As of December 3rd, Minted Poker and Network did make a change...

To maintain healthy player and financial balances within the cardroom, players with weekly winnings of 750 Euros(or equivalent of) on our cash tables will see their access limited to certain tables. The status of each player will be reset at 00:00 every Sunday at which point all the tables will be made available again. This restriction does not apply to any tournaments.

http://www.mintedpoker.eu/en/cardroom/house-rules#tablesa

Of course, they do not say what tables you would be excluded from, so if they only let you play .01/.02 after winning 750 Euros, it would be like not being able to play :)

Are the people that run these sites really as stupid as they act everyday???

Note: They also have pop-up notes if you are a real fish and you try to join a "tough" table. "the rating of the table is higher than yours, do you really want to play on this table?"

I'm guessing they ban big winners from the LOW stakes tables, not the high-stakes ones, in an attempt to protect the micro/low-stakes players. Can anyone confirm/refute/add more info?

I will say, I play skill games for cash and everything is broken up by rank levels. I can actually see some validity to this as a way to keep fish around longer.

Apparently, they also stop you from playing if you have a "star" rating higher than everone else at the table. Minted Poker players (and Everleaf Network players) may want to expand upon this. Although, there not be that many around :)

Yeah I have a friend who tried to join a 25c/50c table this morning who told me about this. He got the player table rating thing and was only able to join 1c/2c.. and he has only won about 600 us $. It wasn't all this week, and some was in tournments. I don't have money on minted, but wtf..

I really don't understand.. i mean they dont have that much traffic and now they want to disciminate who can sit at what table? Don't they usually only have 1 or 2 tabes at each limit if even that?
How is this in any way good?

EDIT: source: real life friends and this thread on 2p2.. only saw it when it was 4 peoples responses deep this morning, been out playing live all day http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...ates-winning-players-too-1134286/index11.html .. but havent read past the first page

This is still quite stupid. The whole idea of poker is to play people you can beat, ie: bum hunt

People don't play to "lose"...you put on a bet on something you're confident will give you a return..banning you from tables that you can beat sees so daft.

To be fair, a follower of mine tweeted that Everleaf claims on Facebook these notices are a mistake they are working on to correct, and may be fixed as soon as Monday.
