I find it hard sometime to buy in at games with rebuy because of the huge wave of participants you have to deal with and survive up until the registration is over. Although it is a rewarding experience to beat the odds and stay in the game.

As for regular tourneys without rebuy, I also like that because the play of some people are much better than those with rebuy.

I feel that you increase your variance in rebuy tournaments. If you are willing to accept what goes with playing in them, then go for it. Maybe your style of game is suited for those games. Personally, I stay away from those games. I like that everyone gets one chance at the game.

I agree, you also tend to rebuy as mch as you can just to stay in the tournament the initial buy in is only $1 but at the end of the tournament you spent already like $15 becauae of the rebuy and the add-on! 😂😂😂

You must have plenty of rebuys at your disposal when it comes to rebuy/addon tourneys to be on the money.

Hard for limited BR though.

I like the freeze-out tournaments more. Rebuys are first of all a donk fest at in the levels you can rebuy. And secondly will also cost more to get a chance to beat the field. In event 1 ($0,11 buy in) i think it was worth waiting till the end of late registration. Register, and take the huge add-on. Would only cost you $0,11 and $0,11 add-on. If you registered at the start it would've cost you lots of rebuys cause of the donkfest.. Sometimes its smart to check these things out.

Well, I dont play those rebuys yet, but Im seriously considering that.
If the biggest problem is that its donkfest, then its also biggest advantage.
Where else to get your edge, then agains tons of fishes.

You just need to adjust your ranges, and also accept the variance (have bankroll for that).

In rebuy phase, your goal should be to collect tons of chips, not just survive. Look for every chance with EV+, dont be afraid to call wide those desperate ppl, pushing last 500 chips with ATC.

If someone plays on Party, there is special kind of rebuys, called "Big AddOn". Its like start chips and rebuy with 3000 and addon 15000 chips for same money. Anyone tried those? For those my goal is more to survive, to buy that big addon, where just buying that addon is big $ EV+. (using late reg at max, but it of course ends about 20 minutes before end of rebuy period and before addon)

I personally feel that in non-rebuys you can use your edge against players. You might bust someone getting it in as a favorite but they aren't reprimanded for their bad play right then and there rather, they can just buy back into the tournament. More often than not, you'll find yourself getting it in against them and possibly losing the 2nd time and having to rebuy. In the long run, you'll be spending a lot of money on a rebuy and you'll be going up against players who aren't punished quite the same for their bad play.

Micromillions or other tournaments I prefer without rwbuys. If you are in a tournament with rebuys some players pay hands that if tehy were playing without rebuys they surelly won't pay. Because if they lose that hand and all the chips they got that option of rebuy. I'm trying to say that, generally, in a tournament without rebuys the players or the majority of them just pay with really good hands.
