I am looking to build a bankroll and i´ve heard that the safest way to do so is in tournaments. I would like to try micro sit n goes on pokerstars with 0,10 or 0,25 c buy ins.
My questions are:
1) Which format is better, 45, 90 or 180 player?
2) I am doing this mostly to learn to play tournaments (ofc also for bankroll), but is it worth it?
3) I know that its going to take some time, but do i rely a lot on luck? (like on final tables or so)

any tips for beginner tournament players are welcome

your main concern with the 10c and 25c Sit and Go's is they are mainly turbo's and Hypers, so they are extremely swingy, you really have to master the art of stack preservation, because the blinds increase so quick if you havent sustained your chips you arent going to be able to take it down

not saying it isnt possible, but for a beginner tournament player it really is going to be a swingy ride

My recommandation would be that you play 9max or 6max sngs. You get immediate results. I havent playd much of the multitable sngs but I think they are worse to get started. You should avoid Hypers as the a.p. stated already..

Ive never tried those, because i feel like you rely a lot on luck (like those hypers), but i guess thats something you have to count with.. Thanks for reply, ill give it a shot

People are wrong in saying that the micro stakes SnGs are all turbos and hypers. The $0.25s are regular, and I would say that the 45/90 mans are the best way to build you BR if you have only a small amount (like $15 or so). You could also try the turbo $0.50 9 man games with a little more. It really depends on how much you have. All of those games are very beatable (including the hypers and turbos) so it just comes down to having enough money to get past variance (unless you just don't care). If you have <$10, then it's probably best to just play the $0.10s, but if you have more then the Rev speed $0.25s take longer and will have less variance in terms of buyins.

The fifty50 $1 games are fairly well played, people #Most tend to play steady and if you dominate you get paid the most !

Play your hands well :) people don't tend to fold if they hit :-(
