Merge site rakeback??

I guess if your getting Rakeback on the Merge site the only thing you can use the VIP points for is to enter tourneys huh?

That or the store, which is a ripoff.

Sorry, had Lock on the brain since that's my RB Merge account. I think Carbon has a store too, but not sure about the others like RPM and BCP.

Actually you can trade them in for cash when you hit 500 v.i.p. points. You get $5 per 500 v.i.p.'s. For sure you can do it at least three times. On the Hero site I have done it twice so far. Not sure what happens after 1500 v.i.p. Hoping the trade in gets higher. Just go to player admin and then VIP points exchange if you want to check it out.

Pretty sure that's only for VIP players, not rakeback players who were grandfathered in from before they started VIP. Unless Hero is somehow different or things have changed.

I haven't deposited on lock yet. seems hard to get 1000 vip points in a month on there. But, I made my account right before June 2011, so i have 35% rakeback. Might play on there instead of carbon just b/c i have rakeback.

Same Merge network, yes. So unless he's a high-rake player (and if he thinks 1000 pts/month is hard, he's obviously not one), then it obviously makes the most sense to play on the skin where you have RB. The VIP program only exceeds RB when you can achieve and maintain the top 1-2 levels. With Lock that would be Black or above. Every skin's VIP program varies a bit, but generally that concept holds across all of them.

With the state of online poker in the US, I don't even know if I would want to try to get a vip level. There's definitely a big risk of playing on any of the us friendly sites right now, especially with seizing of funds of not seeing them again, like UB, FTP and Everleaf.
