Playing a 6 max MTT last night close to the money, Hand for Hand mode. I am 10th out of 22, bottom pay is 20th. We play, play, play and I notice my place is slipping. Then we get to 21 players, bubble position. I suddenly realize something is wrong because we have been 4 handed for quite a while. Then I see it, they have tables set up as 6players, 6players, 4players, 5players when the proper software obviously would have 5556. What is happening is I am going thru the blinds at an amazing rate vs the 6 handed tables where all the shorts happen to be sitting.

In the end of the day, while I did get a cash. The other players enjoyed a significant advantage for a long period of time during the last few players.

I can see why a lot of people just do not want to play online poker at the moment until these 2nd rate sites are moved aside.

I noticed this in some MTTs I have played in the last couple of weeks as well... sometimes I was at the full table but I do see your point.. It does not seem right.

This has been brought up over at 2+2 in the different Merge forums there and the reps have responded by saying they are working to fix this issue. I've been on the short end of the stick myself once or twice and I know it sucks. The way their current system is set up is to not allow more than a 2 person discrepancy between the tables, which is why you saw 6/6/5/4, etc. They made it seem like it was something that should/could be fixed soon so here's hoping.

I understand your point, but don't fully agree that you were at that significant a "disadvantage" especially if the shorts on the 6 player tables are sitting out (This would make their tables actually move faster wouldn't it?).

However, knowing with 100% accuracy what those sitters are going to do could be an advantage, especially if they are sitting directly to your left.

Either way, I don't see this as a big problem.

He didnt say that they were sitting out, he said that they were sitting on the 6 handed tables.

Yea, its a massive disadvantage.

While they are "working" on this, they should also identify sitters. I don't understand the rationale of not showing players who are sitting out. While sitters become obvious if you are at a table for a while, when you get moved you are at a disadvantage. I hate folding to bb then realize after a few hands he was a sitter.

Table balancing has never been a Merge strong point and lately I have been seeing a new wrinkle

I get moved to a table... not dealt a card
I get moved again... not dealt a card
I get moved again.... again not dealt a card

I suppose that is better than the other Merge non-favorite of mine
I get moved... I am the BB
I get moved.. I am the BB
I get moved... I am the BB

Made me especially mad because there is some issue with the HEM HUD with 6 max Merge Tables and I was spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to get that up and running as well.

Guess it is just the way things are gonna be if we want to play Poker in the USA

That is so wrong. The simplest of software fixes. I mean, is this 1999 online poker?

I play the 2_7 tourneys on Merge and sometimes they will put 2 players at 1 table and have 5 on others, this will last about 5 hands.
