I just deposited on pokerstars & Full Tilt. The play on Stars seems to be more real than the play on FTP. By real I mean I can actually bluff people off of pots without getting called down by crap hands. There are still donks and fish but for some reason they seem to be a different type of donk and fish.

Am I perceiving this correctly or is it just that my imagination, even though my graph in Pokertracker3 confirms my suspicions?

My experience has been the opposite, I can wait a half hour before playing a hand on ps and get called down by bottom pair or a gutshot. If I wait that long on full tilt before playing a hand I'm lucky to get any action even before the flop.

Agree with this.. get called down a lot lighter on stars than FT. Also a lot more aggression on stars than FT.

It all depends on who's sitting at your table. By my experience there are calling stations at every site. You can sit down at a table and someone will call you all night, whereas no one will call the next table down in the lobby.

I think it also has to do with the stakes you are playing. Lower stakes are much more conducive to reckless calls because $0.50 might be inconsequential to them. Who knows, they could be a millionaire or they could have found their favorite beer for $3 bucks off and are feeling lucky.

While it's possible it's much more likely to be selective recall and a small sample size.

Yes it is definitely possible that it is a small sample size but the play does seem to be at least a little different on Stars than on FTP....I'll report back after I amass a larger sample size...

After about 9k in hands it seems to have tapered off a bit. But the play has remained the same. It appears that I am just playing much better poker than I was playing in the weeks before and what I am experiencing is just a byproduct of that.

Wisely put. It's amazing how overwhelming selective recall is haha. Even though I'm aware of it I'm sure my selective recall is much more prominent than I think (which is normally the case).

That being said, one can't deny there's a lot of bad play at both sites.
