I was wondering if anyone had any information or experience with the matrix tournaments on full tilt. They seem interesting and a little different then anything I've yet to play.

Just tried one out. Took 1st overall. Lasted about an hour and a half altogether. It was fun, but if you're looking to make some money. Don't play these. $1.25 to play, won $2.34 (90 cents for winning one tourney, 54 cents for taking 3rd in another, and 90 cents for taking first overall). They go by a point system for the overall placements. 2 points per KO, and 1 point for each player you outlast.

thanks, seems like a lot of work for $2.34 but the idea still sounds fun.

I played these for the first time the other day and enjoyed the change in format. You'd have to play them at much higher buy-ins to be worth while though. Apparently if you win all four you also scoop all of the prize money. In one of the ones I played some guy won 3 but then lost the 4th. How sick must he have been!

I've played around 20 of these and my advice is to fold fold fold early, play as consevative as possible. Don't worry about knocking people out and placing in the matrix pool. Concentrate on placing in the top 3 on each table. Like one of the guys said earlier, they're not too profitable but good for a change of pace.
