i've been playing the 500 & 1000 $$ freerolls @ bodog.
i've managed to win twice so far and have finished in the money a few more times.
it takes between 7 to 9 hours to win 1 of these trny's
i consider it very good practice, because you have every kind of poker player there is in the trny. fish, donks, average and good players.
many people do not play these trny's because of this fact. but i figure the only way to improve my game is to play against all skill levels.
i hate playing against the large number of sit-outs in these freeroll trny's. i wish bodog would remove sit-outs after first break like i see some other site's do.
what do you think of these massive entrant freerolls?? do you have a strategy when you play them?:joyman:

The 1k freeroll is a rebuy and add-on that has 5k max entries. my best 17th came in the money a dozen times in the last year. Pays like 50cents an hour because I havent made the final table yet.
The 500 freeroll is also a rebuy and add-on that has 3500max entries 22nd is my best only in the money 3 times in the last year but dont play them much.
Is my thinking wrong about this why add-on or rebuy in a freeroll [so early]up to the first hour. I dont.

I'm in my final semester at FRWU, and find the really big tourneys tiring. I have done, and won the really big ones, like 17000 player MTT's at party poker, (remember those?:)).

But lately I'm sticking my nose in the air about the truly huge MTT's with a poor payout structure. Trust me, that is really weird for me to say, as I have been a big proponent of MTT freerolls. Still am to a degree, for the reasons stated in the OP, but not for any monetary considerations.

There is of course one large caveat. Our 900 player FT freeroll, is a gem amongst freerolls.

Hi MotorCity and thanks for sharing! :hello:

I play the $500 and $1k guaranteed freerolls on bodog as well. I agree with you that playing big tournaments like these, with every type of poker player imaginable, will just make us better poker players overall. In these tournaments, I place in the money on average twice a week. I still have yet to win one, though.
Onward and Upward I say! Good Luck at the tables! :ridinghor
